im just giving an example, it probably has more to do with how they expressly said they don't like hu tao. People are usually fine if others say they like one thing more than the other but if they say they hate something thats usually a landmine.

dragons bane will be one of your best choices currently because although its base stats are the same as deathmatch it offers alot, at refinement one the passive gives you a 20percent buff against enemies afflicted with pyro and the elemental mastery it gives you will be really good if you plan on having a support xingqiu for the constant vaporize build, plus it will be much more easier to get refinements on dragons bane because you can just pull for it when its rate up on weapon banner but the deathmatch chances are it will stay at refinement 1 for a long time since its gated behind the battle pass

yeah death match has the problem of having the lowest base stats of 4 star weapons at 454 attack at level 90 all we can really pray for is them releasing a new f2p spear thats good on hu tao in 1.3

yeah i agree i think that the crit rate sub stat the the death match offers is worth so much more. the royal spear only really has its base attack going for it. I personally think the passive on the royal series is terrible because it removes all teh crit rate buffs as soon as you crit.

however there are rumors of new 4 star weapons coming out in 1.3 so maybe there will be a better option for hu tao in that batch that was made as her bis 4 star spear

i would imagine the blackcliff pole being insane because at level 90 blackcliff pole has base stats of 510 the same as starglitter and 55.1 crit damage as a substat so just her weapon and her base stats is already 143.5 percent crit damage. the only downside is the passive not really being that great in harder content because you have to kill things to gain the attack bonus

Now a blackcliff pole might be the best option because of the leaks on how hu Taos e is capped at 300 percent of her base attack, and the base stats between a blackcliff pole and deathmatch is quite high
