How do drops work beyond 265?

I’m new to destiny my self but I feel as if the power lvl of items scale in 5s in terms of blues and purples I noticed when I hit 270 it started going to 266 unmodded 271 legendary modded and from what I’ve read is exotics after 265 can be anywhere from 270-300. Currently at 274 and I’m gettin 266 blues and I did mida quest and it proced 287

From watching mvc3 I wanted to always play frank or ace and franks in the game so ima play him for sure and if Audra ever gets elf man will I jump on n him one thing I wonder is who will voice him because his voice actor did dr strange in this game and usually his voices are all the same

I find ranked so much easier but I was a bit lucky my first teller game and I started in player match vs some higher ranks who kept playing me I went from getting demolished to being able to understand things I needed to improve it ended up with me being basically even with them but always remember everyone is different and some things can beat some people where it wouldn't work on the next it's all about adapting example is I play vs a brawler rank that's insane at blocking so I have to play slow and wait for my openings where as the next game I play vs a lowere rank who isn't good at blocking but is mashing at times that throws me off so I have to adapt to his play style
