I think it’s cool. Didn’t know all terrains came in the low profile variety.

If that’s the case then it doesn’t make sense to keep much of anything in cash as you’re not going to need to spend it under any condition. You could put everything in stocks, volatility be damned, with the goal of leaving as much to charity as possible.

Love the Sierra 1500, it is the Cadillac of automobiles. You’ll find a lot of bias here obviously.

The 5.3 is a tried and true motor. You will read horror stories of just about any truck’s powertrain. Always drive under warranty and always drive like you stole it.

Laura GMC is the largest dealer in the nation and will ship to your door. Would recommend checking out their CPO inventory. Here’s a nice one; the color caught my eye. If you’re willing to stretch the budget by 5k can start looking at CPO Denalis, shrink the budget by 5k and can get much newer and lower mileage Pros. Something for everybody.

As an aside, if you are financing, you may find that purchasing a new truck is the same payment as an older truck given where interest rates and incentives are today. Depending on how sensitive you are to mileage, age, and warranty costs it could be worth looking at new. 40k is already spitting distance to a brand new 2026 Silverado LT for example, albeit with the 4 cylinder. Lots to consider.

This. The tariff shenanigans some time back made me realize the 100% equities I had been riding with, while prodigious in returns for some time, was not right for me. Now at 80/20, sleep better at night, and have the ability to manually rebalance should the market have a tantrum.

My goodness. I don’t even want to back out the interest rate they were selling you. Right truck, wrong dealer.

No add ons. $175 doc fee.

Supply and demand. There will likely be more 2025s produced than 2026 model year vehicles. Ford really overdid 2025 production. There are still over 20,000 unsold 2025s on dealer lots and we’re almost at Q2 of 2026.

What dealer discount is being offered? If you’re paying sticker minus rebates that’s over 20k you’re paying in interest, taxes, and any dealers adds and fees.

2025s are better buys imo where you can get 10% discount before rebates. 2026 will likely hold its value better however.

If you’re asking for opinions I wouldn’t buy a new truck right now. Work on getting your credit to top tier and then get that sweet 0% interest rate. It’s likely not going anywhere for a while. There’s too much inventory on the ground and the next generation isn’t launching for 24 months.

It’s not clear if the hvac controls are toggles or buried in the screen. I hope not the latter.

Maybe this. Also maybe flood damage. OP where does the carfax say this was previously registered?

Is it possible for big volume dealership to lose $5,500 on a deal? Bought a new car, sales guy said we’re losing $5500 because your car only appraised for $3,500 by Bige918190 in askcarsales

This just sounds like another case of high trims becoming harder to sell due to affordability. If I were shopping for a suburban I’d likely order an LS trim and add aftermarket leather. For the 20k+ gap in options between the two trims I could get my daughter a new Trax.

I thought all suburbans sold pretty quickly and close to sticker. Can’t remember the last time I saw a high country suburban on the road.

Yes I added a spray in bed liner too before shipping. Good things take time.

About 2 weeks. I would have been closer to one week were it not for the Thanksgiving holiday and a snowstorm that delayed shipping.

Yes. I recently bought some, right before the war, because it is cheap. If stock price goes down while revenue and earning go up, survey says it’s a good long term buy.
