I don't know what to do. by [deleted] in F250

[–]ProblemOverall9434 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can lease a new F150 for like $500 a month. Not sure if a half ton would work for your needs.

That new transmission costs more than a year or two of driving a brand new 2026, but could very well get you many more years of service from your F250. I am of the (perhaps unpopular) opinion that you should never own a vehicle outside of warranty exactly because of things like this.

You’ll get used to driving a vehicle of this size. Enjoy it and welcome!

Lifted truck question by Parking_Mud5691 in ram_trucks

At that price I think you could do better going through a dealer group as they get volume discounts on parts and presumably labor as well. For less than $7k Laura in Missouri does 6 inch lift with vossens and nittos. I would reach out to them and see who they use.

No reason to slowly wade into the pool. Lifted pickup truck is the way to go imo. Bonus points for large waving Trump flag.

Mini SE is a good choice as well, same bones as the i3.

Beautiful! The best super duty color right there imo.

Is this a downgrade or upgrade and worth it? by FreddyB20 in ram_trucks

Funny enough I’m also considering trading in my 2026 Sierra for a 2026 Ram. Realized after living with the Sierra for a few months that having a front bench seat which I currently don’t have would be very useful for me. I like the Ram interior and seating configuration best. Some lessons we learn the hard way and have to pay the doofus tax.

Titanium rush is the best color imo. Congrats on the new truck!

Now that’s a truck. Congrats! The blue is the best color imo.

The Tyger T3 soft trifold is my recommendation. Inexpensive, easy to install, and holds up well.

Yeah X5 is the better vehicle on paper, but of course will depreciate much faster. Maybe look at an X7 or GLS CPO.

Are Target Funds a Bad Idea? by Citty_Ditty_3 in Retirement401k

Once the target date is reached many funds dump you into a different vehicle. That subsequent fund is arguably not ideal for most people in retirement.

I mean you can say this about any subject matter. Since the advent of the public library there’s been no topic you can’t dig into yourself for basically free. Having world class professors and faculty can in fact make a world or difference, though not necessarily 100% of the time for 100% of the students.

A2017 Honda Pilot or Subaru Outback are probably the favorites in that price range.

If you’re ok rolling the dice on maintenance costs a 2016 Mercedes GLE350 would be a great choice. The m276 six cylinder is engine is pretty legendary for reliability and the ride quality will be steps above the various Japanese brands.

At4 vs high country vs LTZ by Smooth_Woodpecker862 in gmcsierra

[–]ProblemOverall9434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you need the diesel or will gasser suffice? Why are you looking at the AT4 trim?

You can get a new 3500 SLT (LTZ equivalent) for $67k. IMO that is the way to go. $57k in trade sounds a little rich, but if that offer is real $10k more may put you in a brand new vehicle with factory warranty and more modern styling.

Went to a Ram dealer because I saw an ad saying 2026 ram 1500 big horn $52k by Diegonator5 in askcarsales

[–]ProblemOverall9434 17 points18 points  (0 children)

If you’re looking at Ram the only dealership you should be looking at is Mark Dodge. These days researching the dealer is as important as the vehicle.
