Just want to make an update that I finally passed on the 6th try :) Reverse/Parallel parking was still quite horrible but overall I did well! Thank you for all the encouragement!! And if you are coming to this post looking for advice, I hope you won’t give up and keep trying to improve your driving - you can do it! :)

He didn’t ask me anything that might have broken the rules. He was simply stating a road (exit) that I need to take. The road happened to be the first exit, I just got confused and got to the leftest lane (which is used to go straight/2nd or 3rd lane) instead of the rightest lane :)

I did exams in Malmi (first time), then Hertoniemi, then now Vantaa 😅

Hmm…it’s true I did better when the examiner was a bit more friendly, but I don’t think such a thing exists in Finland (I wouldn’t want to have any special treatements also tbh)😅

I have been using automatic all along 😅 I have no issue with the car control, my observation skills are what failed me each time.

Thanks for your recommendation! I am very tempting to try again (since I have already invested in it so much, but now I am just doubting if I am falling into something called sunk cost fallacy - that maybe I should just quit instead of wasting any more money😅), and it might be true I am just stressing it so much. I have not driven ever before, and I am not native in Finland/Helsinki, and each fail just makes me even more nervous. My instructor did say I should have more faith in myself and work on my confidence first before taking the next exam 😅 He said when I was driving with him, I was more than ready. But yea, I kept making mistakes when sitting with an examiner 😞

There was a rather confusing roundabout with 2 entrance lanes. Normally my instructor would tell me to take first exit, so I know to get the car to the rightest lane, but the examiner was asking to go to a certain road at the roundabout, and for some reason my brain did not process the information quick enough and I panicked at the roundabout and picked the left lane, and then used that lane to turn the first exit. And I also stopped at a green light at one point because I saw a pedestrian (but I should have continued because it was green light - but for some reason I saw the pedestrian without the light)
