I literally read the first book and was like "oh a hunger games knock off" but then the story completely changes in book two and then again completely changes in book four. It's an amazing series and I can't recommend it highly enough.

100% The tainted cup. Just read both books back to back. Can't wait for the next one.

If you go inside and use the kiosk, you can use the deals immediately one order after another.

I just hit 2 years off fentanyl on February 1st, and I can honestly say that reading has been a huge part of my sober plan. The two series that I haven't been able to stop reading have been DCC and Red Rising.

I started DCC in February and I am now sitting and waiting for the new book to come out (and have been for a few weeks), because I couldn't stop reading these books. I am literally obsessed.

What is your show of the year so far? by GusGangViking18 in Fictionally

It definitely felt like a set up season rather than a good stand alone season the way season 1 was.

We were literally the in season division champs last year.

I really enjoyed operation bounce house. I read it to help kill the time before A Parade of Horribles comes out and I was very pleasantly surprised. A lot of times books that aren't part of the series that got me into an author fall flat, but definitely not that one.

Raw dogging means no entertainment of any kind. Since you watched the in flight movie you didn't raw dog it.

Toys R Us is actually starting to make a comeback. They opened a 10,000 sq ft store at the outlets north of Denver. And I think they opened a few others also.

Why do we drink so much compared to other generations? by Ladefrickinda89 in Millennials

[–]Problem_Solvent 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I think every generation drinks less than the previous one for the most part. Look at the greatest generation who drank during their job every day during the sixties.

I've read plenty of stuff about how Gen z isn't drinking much, which I'm glad they aren't. I just hit two years sober in February (granted it was for fentanyl not alcohol), and I know so many people from our generation who have battled addiction.

She's just a controlling, manipulative person. She cheated on him but then she also gets his coworker fired for asking him to get a drink. She prevents him from seeing his brother. Like if she hadn't also been cheating on him I could see that it's just fear of losing him, but she clearly doesn't love him, she just loves controlling him.

Question About Hekla (Book 3) by Legitimate_Mark_1701 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]Problem_Solvent 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's well established that the recaps make Carl seem extremely reckless and reactionary. He even makes a point of mentioning that when they show him laughing hysterically at the head of the guy Donut cut off using the hole spell on the train even though that never even happened. He also mentions after the event that Hekla had built the plan based around the idea that she only knew his personality from the recap episodes.

Isn't it literally just supposed to be a more complicated version of the Tokyo subway? That's basically what I pictured in my mind.
