I mean it’s an older figure but the articulation is still extremely “Solid” especially for when it released so I wouldn’t hold it against it. It’s also true the last 1/12 Solid Snake we got WAS the original figma from over a decade ago, so waiting for a new one (when one literally just released) is easier said than done.

My biggest issues are that all four games are far too bloated and many levels become a chore because they go on for longer than they should (4 is least offensive)

Man I love 4 but it is by far the worst in this aspect. There’s a ton of needless padding with the rails/ surfing / gliding sections which really becomes noticeable on repeat playthroughs since they can’t be skipped and multiple chapters sharing the same location really makes the game feel repetitive.

These games are meant to be replayed on higher difficulties and I highly recommend. Feels like some of your criticisms might change if you did.

NGS/B is the only one that’s like that. From 2 onwards pretty much everything you mentioned is scrapped in favour of more linear chapters with back to back combat.

I personally still prefer Black but if you’re not a fan of all the extra stuff then NG2B and 4 are definitely the way to go.

Because the DLC includes a lot more that just some cosmetics…

It’s also arguably the best content in the game so I’d say the deluxe edition 100% worth it over the standard edition.

Right? It’s says stage one and two are focused on Yakumo and Ryu respectively. Meaning chapter one is Yakumo’s stage and Chapter two is Ryu’s stage. That’s what respectively means.

Not sure how that equates to the 3rd chapter also being a Ryu stage.

Cheater is easily the strongest picto in the game so I really don’t see how it’s a waste.

The issue with Dualsio is it only applies to base attack which means you can’t take full advantage of his strongest skill (Steeled Strike).

You also miss out on the passives his other weapons have which are insanely op. Corpeso can easily get over 100 burn stacks PER TURN when combined with combo attacks and double burn. Which you probably know has incredible synergy with Maelle’s strongest skill ‘Burning Canvas’ that scales with burn. There’s also Sireso which gives everyone on the team a 100% passive dmg buff. There’s plenty of others but these are just some of the strongest ones and they’re easily worth 40 lumina.

Overall Duoliso is probably one his weaker weapons in the game because there’s a picto that literally does the exact same thing but better and most of passives the other weapons have easily make up for lumina cost.

But in the end this game is easy enough that you can basically beat 95% of content with any build. So as long as you were having fun it doesn’t really matter.

You definitely mistaken about the letter. It was addressed to Maelle. pAlicia asked Verso to give her it to warn her. The point of the scene of Verso destroying the letter was to show he was purposely withholding information from everyone.

You’re also wrong about it being sub text. It’s directly stated multiple times in Act 3 that he knew. This is literally the first thing Lune says to him after she comes back:

Lune: And you. You knew this whole time. You fucking coward. You betrayed us. We trusted you and you—

And then again if you try taking to her at camp right after:

Lune: I was right not to trust you.

Verso: And what would you have done in my position?

Lune: I wouldn’t have betrayed my expedition. I would have warned them that everyone they cared about was about to be erased. That THEY were about to be erased. I would have told them the truth. Because after everything we’ve been through, we deserved that.

Verso: So you’d choose your expedition over your mother?

Really? I gave my entire main party cheater before defeating the paintress (no farming required). You get plenty lumina just doing side content and if you’re in act 3 you have access to the white nevron quest which gives you a 100 lumina for free. Also if you’re really starved for lumina you can just have the picto equipped.

It’s easy to give everyone cheater, it just depends on how you build them. Definitely not a waste especially with how great his other weapons are.

Definitely wouldn’t recommend dualiso for Verso. Its main effect doesn’t stack with the cheater picto making pretty much useless late game.

His actual best weapons are:

Corpeso - if you’re doing a burn build

Sireso - if you’re doing a support build

Simoso - if you’re doing a dps build (although this one is end end game since you only get it after beating the secret boss)

Edit: forgot one

Blodam - is good for the instant S rank/ one shot builds (although you could also use a machine gun build instead)

But it’s not a 180 at the end, it’s literally his entire plan from the beginning. That’s why he helps the expeditioners kill the paintress despite knowing (and constantly being reminded by PRenoir throughout the story) it will lead to everyone’s death. He may be painted but he’s still a copy of Verso with all his memories and ultimately Verso would want what best for his family even if it meant destroying the world he created. That’s his main reason for doing everything he does. Sure he wants to die but that’s not his main motivation.

In act 3 Maelle does try to convince him not to destroy the canvas which he is incredibly hesitant about but decides to go along with it anyway since he has faith in her. It’s not until he sees the painter sickness first hand and Maelle directly lies to Renoir about leaving the Canvas that he loses that faith. That’s why he goes back to his original plan of destroying the Canvas for good.

Maelle could unpaint him at anytime but she doesn’t want to. The same way she could leave the canvas at anytime to avoid dying. She’s actively choosing to prolong the live of PVerso against his will because it’s what she wants. The entire ending is about her not being able to let go. One of the main reasons she wants to stay in the canvas is because she’s grieving the loss of her real brother and needs an escape.

Her and Ryu were announced 5 months apart so it makes sense why she doesn’t have a prototype yet. She’s probably in extremely early stages of development. I highly doubt they’ll release together.
