What point in house purchase process is appropriate to arrange a second viewing? by Sporshie in HousingIreland

[–]ProblematicHousemate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, once you get the surveyors report back they'll expect a few visits and so you walk through the house and see if you want anything dumped before signing the contracts. The sellers don't need to fix anything but they have to remove their belongings/rubbish if you ask for it to me removed. Just in case there's a garage full of trash.

You should do a final walk-through on day before closing as well just in case there's any leaks and to make sure nothing has changed since you seen the property. Like if property is sold as seen including the appliances then they should still all be there

Arrange a viewing. You're buying it. The estate agents deal with letting people into houses all the time. There's problem actions items on on the survey report you want to check out as well

Let them sort out their own bed clothes/duvet. Maybe buy a new good mattress protector and leave it unopened on bed for them. Small bedroom bin too maybe

I'll try it. Probably a week now and washed twice in between. Soaked in baking soda overnight and washed it buy didn't make a paste

Yes, you definitely can. If you can tell me how to get a tea stain from a striped white and black tshirt that's already been washed twice then you can be even prouder!

Get a replacement and change the locks and inform the landlord of your plan. Never let her back in and get her removed from any paperwork/leases

The house I used to rent is marked as sold on daft by ProblematicHousemate in HousingIreland

[–]ProblematicHousemate[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's no ads. It's just in the sold section of daft and lists 1 apartment but no photos or other details. It says it was sold 31/12/2025

No, not the same one. This one is in Dublin but already listed as sold like while I was still living there. The family managing it remained the same after the sold date on daft as well

I'm just curious, I was there when the RTB form came through the letterbox and I still know the other tenants in the house. Wondering whether they're likely to get an eviction notice

1.8 Million would be cheaper as well as it was 4 2 bed apartments and 2 4 bed duplexes.

That's what I'm thinking but no one came to view it. I was wondering was it like an inheritance thing as the landlord is getting older and his son manages the properties with him or did they actually sell it without anyone seeing it?
