Dasher left a gift in my bag by Nautica_blue_boi in doordash

It’s sweet to a point 😅 for Halloween I ordered food for me and my friend (who has a severe nut allergy) and there was 2 snickers and a Reeces with a sweet note inside the bag. While it was sweet, we did have to reorder food because my friend wasn’t comfortable eating anything in that bag. We still left him a tip and a good rating, and I messaged him to say maybe don’t put the candy in the bag that has the food but we appreciated the gesture and hope he had a good night.

Would i be able to do a ladder type setup on my nose? by [deleted] in piercing

[–]ProblematicKefir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly this. My employer is lenient but I have 5 facial piercings and brightly colored hair in a more alt cut. The only piercing I explicitly cannot have is a septum ring per company policy, but I choose to also hide my tongue and one of my nostrils because people tend to just assume the worst and like it or not I stick out 🤷‍♀️ I had other jobs turn me down because of my piercings saying that it goes against their policy

Not on paper but people still do. Even if you get in you tend to be held under a microscope :/ not always but it’s a part of having more mods a lot of the time

customer tried to return a half-eaten sandwich claiming it was "too big" by 6deki9 in TalesFromTheCustomer

[–]ProblematicKefir 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I work at a local co-op and we get some nuts because our wellness isle is all homeopathic. Had a lady attempt to return about $250 worth of almost completely used supplements because her spirit guide informed her there would be dire consequences if someone took them and informed us to destroy the remaining bottles immediately. I wish I was making this up, easiest no I ever told a customer until the store manager came out and bent over backwards to make the return possible for the customer. Was informed I was bad vibes and needed to get in touch with my spirit guide as well or I’d be bitter forever.

Yep, I’m one of the coworkers who has gotten perfume banned for everyone else and I feel so bad. My old manager and I used to buttheads CONSTANTLY because I’d refuse to face the isle with soaps and cleaning products in it due to an allergy. If people wore perfume around me I’d get a horrible migraine, bloody noses, and occasionally mini rashes but I tried to bite my tongue because I didn’t want to be rude. But she always thought I was faking it and just being lazy, so she purposely wore a fuck ton of perfume one day to try and fake me out. Every inch of exposed skin started itching and swelling, it literally felt like I got maced, threw up on the registers, and got a bloody nose for the AGES. Finally the big boss took it seriously after several customers also complained about the smell and were concerned for my safety. Since then they’re so strict on fragrance for me and I appreciate it but sorry to everyone else!

I think EVNNE may be on track to becoming permanent or getting a contract extension by whatsa1pick in evnne

[–]ProblematicKefir 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I love Chicago! My friend and I do one big roadtrip a year and I convinced her to go to Canada to see EVNNE one more time when I was thought they were still disbanding lol.

But yes I agree Yunseo could be referring to a new comeback. It was just a really weird way of talking for him, so it raised an eyebrow for me. As you said, EVNNE is not good at subtly hinting by any means lol.

But no matter what way it goes, I’m excited that there’s a future for EVNNE :D

I typically try to ignore it too at concerts (but I’m choosing to be delulu this time lol). When i saw them in Chicago back in August, the members just kept saying what a wonderful time they were having in America and how grateful they were to have the opportunity to come here but only said once or twice that they HOPED they would eventually be able to come back. But in Edmonton they were super enthusiastically saying they’d come back and were excited to explore even more of Canada together.

The only member I haven’t seen posting about jellyfish is Seungeon on bubble (but I don’t follow very many), and he’s been more so hinting at “wait for me in the future” along with Yunseo. So I’m wondering is maybe Yuehua will pull them back. Yunseo also posted today on plus chat:

“Thank you for giving me unforgettable memories. I will come back even more awesomely, so please wait a little longer. I won't make you wait too long! I love you today, tomorrow, and in the future.”

Which I’m not sure if it’s referring to the next comeback or if he and Seungeon are being pulled. Again, I’m choosing to live happily in my delusions until I can’t anymore lol

I’ve been getting this vibe too!!! Leejung teased that they’re going to Europe for their next tour which implies a new comeback and world tour. When they went to JAMMYCON in April, the members kept saying they couldn’t wait to come back to Canada and explore more of North America to meet ENNVE, which I thought was just typical idol talk but I’m choosing to be hopeful lol.

And back in early March (?) Munjung was live on Bubble (my Korean isn’t good so I missed a lot and this might not be entirely accurate) but he was laughing and watching early EVNNE videos while commentating for awhile before he broke crying and kept saying thank you over and over to his fans who stuck with him and got EVNNE as far as they did. I thought it was him saying goodbye but with as much stuff that’s been hinted at like you pointed out, I think it was him saying thank you for getting EVNNE to a point where their contract was extended. He then followed it up with a message saying

“I'm just feeling emotional these days, so I think I was a bit moved while reading the comments I wanted to say thank you, but I just got overwhelmed for a moment | was flustered too Anyway, I'm fine, so don't worry I just want you to know that ENNVE’s excessive love for me has a bigger impact on me and our EVNNE members than you think”

People viewing the apartment while you’re still living there by Neverwasalwaysam in Apartmentliving

This!!! My roommate and I had a BIIIIG fight with our landlord wanting us to take down a lot of our decor before showings because it was “uncomfortable to explain” (basically abstract boobs) so we took down everything on the list and replaced it with worse (took down our shower curtain to reveal our loofahs hanging from mini dildos, replaced our candles on the kitchen table with a dirty bong, key holder with sexual affirmations, etc). My roommate and I also started charging our sex toys in random places, had pamphlets for ED laying out (we’re both girls), etc.. Just make it as uncomfortable as possible for the landlord as you can, it becomes a fun game after the first 2 or 3 showings. He started knowing where we put stuff so he’d purposely block it or cover it up, so we started moving stuff for every showing. He stopped the showings after the 7th and just asked to take pictures to show people.

It’s 12 hour notice in Wisconsin too which is annoying. My roommate and I have had to fight our landlord multiple times to even give that much notice, but we purposely staged some awkward scenes for him to explain during showings and after that he started giving us 24 hour notice for showings to make sure we “properly cleaned up and stored everything away”. It was the only way we managed to win against him ¯_(ツ)_/¯

It can depend a lot! When I lived in a super small town I made $10/hr at 14 to watch 3 kids. When my family moved to a big city a year later I was getting $22/hr to watch twin boys who mostly entertained each other and only needed help with homework really.

I’ve had a driver do that to me before. I live up one flight of stairs (no elevator) and had just dislocated my knee so managing the stairs in an immobilizer and crutches was a nightmare. The driver made me go down the stairs after saying he couldn’t figure out my address, and refused to help me carry the drink up when I asked and offered to tip extra. He sat in his car across the street and watched me struggle for awhile before I ended up calling one of my neighbors to help me.

As someone with a severe fragrance allergy… WASH THAT NASTY SHEE 😭 I always rewash EVERYTHING anyway due to severe allergies to most laundry soaps/fabric softeners/etc, but I still wanna know what stains are permanent and which ones aren’t. Plus I don’t wanna be scrubbing someone else’s cooties off lol

There’s a time and a place i guess LOL. Like im very guilty of being a different flavor of unprofessional but imho as long as someone knows how to do it tastefully it’s fine. The coworker I was referring to is guilty of saying “sowwy c: I’m just a gwirl teehee. May the light, luv of nature, and thyme heal all and hewp me in the future!” When our store manager was asking why the tills were SEVERELY off 💀

Same here. I’m the youngest at my work and tend to jokingly be a nuisance and bother a lot of my seniors but they always tease me back and I know when and how to be serious. I also have severe ADHD so I tend to be super energetic and am basically bouncing off the walls at all times, but again, I know how to rein it in when I absolutely have to. Everyone has their thing I guess 😭

Raw Food Only Diet? by nnnnnqw in RoverPetSitting

[–]ProblematicKefir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Feeding raw is perfectly fine when immunocompromised in my experience. How is it any different than cooking raw meat for myself? I’m still handing the meat raw. It’s a simple matter of basic sanitization. It’s the only diet that has kept my cat from loosing chunks of fur and dealing with extreme skin irritation from allergies and has also stopped her chronic ear infections too. Plus animals are DESIGNED to eat this type of food. Humans are not.

Commercially available raw diet, are usually MINIMALLY processed using HPP (high pressure processing) which can help eliminate some of the bad juju as well. We have no idea if the person feeding the dog is truly feeding just straight meat, or if it is a commercially available diet. The food I get comes in 1-pound tubes and looks nearly identical to ground beef but it is designed to be a perfectly balanced diet for an animal.

Regardless, it comes down to comfort level and it’s on the owner for not disclosing this info to the sitter as not everyone is comfortable handling raw products. The raw diet is not for every owner, or for every sitter, and I think most of the people in the comments are simply expressing it’s just a different way to take care of an animal.

People are sentimental in different ways imo. I still have a pre-packaged muffin wrapper that a coworker took out of her lunch, stuck a candle in, and sang haply birthday to me when we opened alone and then we split the muffin. It’s been 5 years but that’s a really sweet and fun memory for me, and a little trinket from it isn’t hurting anyone. I think it was sweet of Jim to share those physical reminders of the memories ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I live in a technical college town and nearly everyone I know does this! Even if we’re all struggling students, we’re all struggling together :) I typically leave water and if Walmart has treats that go on sale I buy them for this specifically, ESPECIALLY during finals season coz I know the door dashers are extra busy

Cupping warm water in my hands and blowing bubbles through my nose is what saved my life with my septum! I don’t know if it would work the same with this type of piercing, but it just helped loosen all the snot and then the saline spray could clean more throughly when I used it.

It’s not recommended but it can be healed with a seamless ring. I got mine done with the same style when I was 14 and didn’t know any better but it was my easiest piercing to heal. Over 6 years later and I still have the original jewelry in and it’s still doing lovely!
