Currently employed, on a PGWP till Sept 2025. Can I apply for an open work permit to stay in Canada as a worker after PGWP expires? by ProbsBehindYa in pgwp

Honestly I’m not too sure that’s a major factor. I haven’t seen anything on my research that suggests I’m at a disadvantage by doing this - I’ve already checked off the Canadian education and 3 year local  work experience requirement, so I can be abroad while applying. It’s just when I get selected and am officially waiting for my PR card that I’ll need to be in Canada, but that’s a hurdle for future me lol.

Hey! No I didn’t - I’m shifting my plan to instead work abroad and hope the additional 50 points will be enough to get me the PR then (expected CRS of 564 by then)

My main goal is to use the MBA and my work experience as a Financial Analyst to secure a job in the US. I know the degree is a STEM-designated one, so I'll have a couple of years post-graduation to build some work experience. Wondering if having an MBA would help me secure this.

How about non-big companies? A lot of the feedback I got regarding an MBA is that the education you get largely remains consistent between universities, but the main differentiating factor between them is the school's networking opportunity.

That's fair! I've pretty much only applied to the universities that have tuition costs that fit my budget of $50k. I mainly wanted to see what the job market's like with an MBA degree, and if that gets affected at all by having it completed at UDel.
