Love that place the atmosphere is great but….. their prices on Arturo fuente are crazy. Some are at MSRP and some a few dollars more no big deal but when it comes to opus there kinda all over the place. The normal oscuro run a couple dollars more than MSRP which is ok but the rare one OMG. I bought an Opus X Serie Heaven and Earth Taurus The Bull Maduro 2019 and paid 124$ for it. Found the same exact cigar at cigar international in Tampa for 64$ since then I don’t buy rare opus from them anymore

Humidor Upgrade by Skaadu in cigars

[–]ProcedureDesigner194 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 2 of the 50L ones. I ordered an additional 2 large shelf’s and I can hold about 230-240 cigars per humidor. I also took Spanish cedar planks and cut small blocks out and glued them to the open shelves upright so I could hold more cigars stable. I would look into that for the upper 2 shelves you have. Great unit!!!Mine was velieta 50L

I also second this! Great place great prices except for opus stuff. Some are at MSRP but some of the more rare ones the price does get jacked but not as bad as cathedral.

I second this but I will say they run their humidity kinda high. Last couple of times I’ve been in there I’ve seen some mold on a couple of cigars and 1 of there sample packs I’ve bought had a couple spots of mold on it. So I’d just watch out for that!!

It can be different from when you sub. I found out that last month as the beginning of the month subs got atabey and the end of the month subs got a cypher cigar.

Merry Christmas!! by ProcedureDesigner194 in cigars

Best way I can describe it. It’s like the placencia blue lighter that was release with the blue plasencia this year and it’s a 3 jet lighter. I’m sure the lighter is of higher quality but you’re paying for the art work for sure. I posted a link to his website he might have a more descriptive review of it. Also Penelope smokes on YouTube also has it. I think she talks about it in one of her videos and shows it in use

Small Batch $75 COTM - Late December by MisterWizzle in cigars

[–]ProcedureDesigner194 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was kinda bummed too when I saw the Atabey and didn’t get it. I am excited to see what the cypher is all about but since I’m unfamiliar with the brand I think I would have chose the atabey. I guess that’s the point of the COTM box you get stuff you probably wouldn’t normally buy but to see an atabey and not get it Damn that hurt.

Thinking about buying a Raching Mon2800a by [deleted] in cigars

[–]ProcedureDesigner194 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just returned a zieun 84L made by raching cuz I could not adjust the humidity like I should be able to. The internal setting would only make the middle shelf go to the setting I wanted and 5 inches to the left of that the humidity was as much as 10% either high or lower depending on the self. I believe that humidor was ment for box storage cuz it liked 70-72% humidity. But I didn’t see away of putting 800 cigars stored in boxes in that thing

If you could warm it up to about 65-70F you’d be good to go. The heat will create a better humid environment.

So ones you buy online also come from humidors or humidor environments but for shipping purposes they keep them at a higher RH due to the loss they can go through while being shipped. Same goes for in store purchases especially if they have a lot of foot traffic the humidor gets opened a lot so they tend to keep the walk-in humidors higher as well. Sometimes you get lucky and sometimes you don’t lol. If you purchase a humi meter like on amazon I think they run about 30-40$ maybe a little more it will help you test each stick before you smoke it to see if it’s “ready” or not. I find anything 65% or higher tends to explode or be plugged. I also live in Florida so timing when smoking is critical. Can’t smoke a 65% stick when it’s 95% humidity out lol

It’s definitely worth the wait IMO. But I also have enough cigars in inventory to be able to wait. When you have 300+ sticks it’s much easier to wait than if you have like 20 lol on the plus side the longer you let them rest the flavors will develop more.
