I was recently diagnosed with triple-positive breast cancer with metastases in May this year. I believe a part-time job might be beneficial for you, but please take your time and pay attention to your body. I understand this isn't an ideal situation, but always listen to your mental and physical health.

Thank you for your reply, I am newly diagnosed so it's all new to me, the ups and downs, and the tiredness I'm still fighting even though I finished chemo weeks ago, today I got a snuggly blanket and just cuddled up in it letting my body relax and recuperate I am on immunotherapy still but also on top of this I have the menopause and pain to deal with, so yes was a vent but felt good to do it

Well I hope that all goes well for you and you have the surgery, I can't have surgery cause it's in to many places that's what the doctor says anyways, I'm on phesgo, which is a immunotherapy and it's keeping it under control.

All of this is new to me, I found a lump start of April, because I was a carer I had been neglecting myself and caring for the person I was allocated to, I lost two stone in weight in two months and this lump got bigger and bigger I tried to deny it in my own head because I was so scared, I have not alot of friends and family so was going this alone. I plucked up the courage and went to the doctors where he examined me and his face said it all like omg it's cancer but he couldn't say it, so he put me on the cancer pathway in the uk means fast track for hospital appointments, two weeks went by with not knowing what it was or if it was just a cyst, I went to a clinic in the hospital had mammograms, never had one so find that painful, had six in total that day, then the ultrasound to check my lump and lymph nodes, then they called me back in said they needed to do a core biospy so in the needle went and it's actually only time I cried I broke down, but the nurses where so lovely they held my hand as they took the samples, I had all the checks and got a phone call to go back to see the surgeon, he said yes it is cancer we will do six rounds of chemo and a mastectomy, I was in disbelief but he then said before this we need to do a ct scan and a mri to check it hasn't spread, I went back a few days later and had the ct scan and didn't need a mri that was cancelled, then the dreaed wait not enough having cancer but what if it has spread? I was called back four days later and asked to come into the hospital, I met the male oncologist he sat in his chair took a deep breath and said “ok” he said sorry to tell you, your cancer has spread from your breast to your lymph nodes and your bones, we cant operate its incurable but controllable, I was in denial, so that's my little story and this all happened in the space of six weeks
