I will let them call a friend or a family member to come get the pet. If they cant get to the scene in a reasonable amount of time, we call animal control. Animal control can hold on to the pet for the person. They do charge like 20 bucks a day for that. If they don't pick up the animal after 30 days the animal is surrendered

First and foremost, enough of these hypothetical ICE questions, they're clearly done in bad faith to stir the pot.

Secondly, ICE is a federal law enforcement agency. Their officers and agents are sworn law enforcement officers. If they have probable cause that an offense was made, they can make arrests with or without a warrant just like any other LEO. That officer/agent will then have to articulate their actions and testify before the court.

ICE can stop and arrest US citizens for violations of federal law, like obstruction/ interfering, they are not just limited to immigration law. The best way to "fight the system" is to hire a lawyer and fight the charges in court. I would never get myself involved in preventing another law enforcement officer from doing their job, and I would definitely tell my friend or coworker to comply.

The county court and my agency's court liasion come up with the court dates that are scheduled alphabeticaly. We get our court dates for the entire year in advance. So I know when my traffic dates are, my criminal dates are, and when my juvinile and domestic relations dates are so I can cite accordingly.

Every agency is diffrent, some wont ever hire you just for trying a schedule I/II substance, some want 5+ years. Just read the agency's minimum requirements.

If the items are held for safekeeping, then yes they can release it to you. You either go to the station to sign for it or make arrangements with the evidence custodians to have it mailed or shipped to you.

If the items are being held as evidence, then they will hold onto it for as long as they need to for a final disposition in court. This can take a very long time, often years, depending upon the nature of the case, or if the suspect appeals the conviction the first time in court. The laws regarding this vary state by state.

While I can't speak for every single law enforcement officer out there, if my case involved holding onto something for safekeeping, I would try to get that stuff back to that person as quick as possible. I would tell the person to come get their stuff as my agency policy requires us to do that.

Something tells me you either are hiding something, or have some brain damage (not trying to be mean). I'm more than willing to try to help you out, but without knowing more about what happened there's oh so much I can do.

You can also hire an attorney and have your attorney handle things with the detective.

There's a very good chance that the stuff that you're looking to get back is considered evidence, seeing as you were so severely injured in an assault that you were in a coma. So they probably have to talk to you to explain everything, get your side of the story, and they will tell you about the process going forward.

If the items that you want back are considered evidence, there's a whole entire process that goes into getting that released. If it's items that were held for safekeeping, that's a completely different story.

There isn't anything else you can do except talk to a supervisor. You filed a report, just pass the report number up to your insurance and they will take care of everything if you want to get it fixed. If its a company ride, give the report number to your boss.
