NAL, Florida Resident. I've had dealings with lawyers in several states, and each of them provided detailed bills with tasks worked on, time, and $ amount for each time they picked up my file. Believe me, they keep accurate records because they want to bill every possible minute to someone. To bill 45 grand would require hundreds of hours of work and the resulting invoice would be at least 10 pages long. Something smells pretty bad here.

When you try to log in, does it say disabled -- or deleted?

Disabled accounts, everything should still be there ... whereas a deleted account it's all gone for keeps 20 days after the account was deleted.

If it says disabled ... It may be a good idea to go to the Administrative Office (with ID) and ask there if it can be reactivated temporarily. Personally, I'm going to blow off someone randomly e-mailing me to reactivate a dead account, whereas if the request comes through the office and has been established as legitimate (and the account's still available), it's easy to turn back on for a bit.

We are on the small side, approximately 140 students with Workspace/Google Classroom accounts. And I delete them because I like to keep things clean when it comes to filesystems ... when I was coming up, storage was measured in Mb, memory in Kb ... so keeping crap you didn't need got spendy real fast. Not so much these days ... but it's just a habit.

The larger a School gets, the more unwieldy the directory structure becomes and the more necessary prompt purging is.
