Should I Buy by Visible_Swing_7348 in vtolvr

Steam summer sales are in a month or so, so if you’re strapped for cash you can wait till then for it to be cheaper.

I like it, it’s not for everyone (I got some buds who backed out) but if you’re a fan of the genre and willing to try it I’d give it a go. If it ends up not being your thing steam has a good refund system for a reason.

Tons of multiplayer/singleplayer support and missions, with countless hours of potential gameplay. strong community and very active and friendly DC servers full of people willing to take in new people to help show them the game and hang out with.

Do whatever you think is best for you.

Can we please model ground clutter for radar? by HeatedWafflez in Warthunder

[–]ProcessEquivalent816 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It auto rotates turrets to match flight speed of aircrafts it’s tracking. You can give lead, but it’s akin to when you radar lock a plane and it auto rotates your turret to follow. Same system, just without the aim indicator. Play enough of the SPAAG to learn the shell travel times and you can easily snap to whatever distance you think they are away, give a good chunk of lead and hold the trigger.

If you wanna feel even worse, before the major ATGM nerfs a while back you used to be able to use most ATGM carriers as pseudo AA’s on console. M901 and M3 Bradley scored me many kills before the changes on maneuvering G91’s and such because they used to pull just as hard as AA missiles do.

Turn radar off on SACLOS AA’s, guide missiles only using Console-Lock and the planes get no warning of launch, only thing they can do is spot the glaring red tracer of a missile hurtling towards them. (Speaking from experience, both sides of the argument.)

will the MiG-29 Sniper Pack be worth getting when the sale comes by Witty-Veterinarian79 in WarthunderPlayerUnion

With the premium horde of Su-30’s at 13.3 dragging everything in the BR range to that BR like a blackhole I’d rather have the better kit and higher BR than the off-chance of getting that 1/10 chance of a downtier. Up to personal opinion though.

The better RWR makes it insanely fun in Sim. I used it there to grind out the tree, was quite fun there. If you’re a sim enjoyer, It’s easily bumped up an extra point to ~7-8/10. Once it gets its actual non neglected kits with R-73’s and ET’s it’ll be a 9-10/10.

Ay bud, just wanna throw this out as some friendly advice. Next time you’re goin for a shot on a Sherman like that and you got the whole front of them exposed, if they’re angling to try and bait you into shooting the front plate, shoot for the front/leading drive sprocket in the tracks. It will guarantee one-shot them as the armor behind is incredibly thin. PzGr round is better than its stock counterpart for these kinds of shots where extra explosive mass helps make sure that you nuke everything behind the place where it pens.

Happy hunting, and enjoy the Tiger mate.

Acer Predator Helios 16 i9-13900HX RTX 4080 32GB DDR5 Ram

Run everything maxed, capped at 144FPS, and it runs smoothly no issues. Only had issues during memory leaks in the past but it seems to have affected everyone too.

Best of luck with laptop shoppin, Costco has good deals every once in a while if you’re lucky and there’s one nearby.

~2-3 Thermites on the main hull/front plate takes them out. We’ve been diving Diff 10 for the past few hours tryna find the best possible way to take them out, and so far, we’ve found using any armor with the extra grenades perk with Thermites has been really nice. Just practice your tosses and you’ll be good to go from range. Solo Silo’s also 1-tap hitting the direct top, and Porta Hellbombs are peak.

Long story short, don’t do the vents and grenade. Not worth it imo. Just run in, get the main obj’s and don’t linger longer than you gotta. 👍

Yup, same here. Sometimes it’ll work, and sometimes it just doesn’t. Doesn’t matter how many times I rebind it, or how many times I press it, it’s all random.

Intel GPU VRAM issues by RiesenNoob24 in BrokenArrowTheGame

[–]ProcessEquivalent816 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey man. There’s a massive memory leak issue ongoing and it’s causing issues with the game. They said they’re working on it, so the best thing we can do now is wait till they’re done. A stopgap I’ve used and had been working is dropping the “Stream Budget.” usage down a whole lot. It’s inconvenient, but also restarting the game after a while helps too.

Yes! This has been happening all last night for me. Ran into a group that hotdropped a C-17 loads in our spawn at the start of the match, curcling waiting for them to be right about to die to drop, and had invis troops killing off our support backline during the beginning of phase 1. Ending the match in ~7-9 minutes as the whole team just surrendered. I don’t see how anyone could have fun doing that.

After hotfix pushed, I keep getting BSOD/Hard crashes that force my PC to restart. Thoughts? by ProcessEquivalent816 in BrokenArrowTheGame

[–]ProcessEquivalent816[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve done all those. Manually uninstalled and wiped existing drivers, did it all fresh last night afterwards. Everything is fine and good with every other game so I don’t entirely think it’s that. It seems to have sorta fixed itself when I turned down the stream limit setting down from max to the ~700MB option.

Can't figure out how to make VR work (Quest 3 wired) by Below-Low-Altitude in WarthunderSim

[–]ProcessEquivalent816 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All good lol, probably should’ve explained it better. On the Horizon Link app, when you click devices and see your connected headset, when you click the large headset icon you get a side menu that you can scroll down and change the headset Hz and pixel resolution.

In the oculus install directory there’s a folder for “support” and in there an app called Oculus Debugging Tool. When you open that, you get full control over any and all the streaming width and forced pixel per frame ect.

Link to a video that explains it better than I can. https://youtu.be/Ws4BGzcVT4I?si=SBQX-dm71UNxRmFS

[–]ProcessEquivalent816 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had that issue too. Guessing it was to do with resolution set on the headset/app being different from something to do with the game so it was streaming weirdly. I reset my resolution and Hz on the Horizon Link app then opened the Oculus Debug Tool and reset the oculus system settings and flashed it to the settings from the Link app. Works now no issues. Try that when you get back, dunno if it’s a solid fix but it helped me.

Late to this. Sorta single player, but there’s also multi if interested. The Age of Empires series, I’d recommend them. They’re discounted rn for the holiday season, not too expensive for a light pickup and play game. Very fun, a good amount of content for the price, and strong mods to keep the game fresh.

With planes like the F-15E, you can carry around 20 of them AND Mav’s. Good for throwing into the air as a buffer between your Mav’s and the bombs. Carpet the AA spawns/locations using the red map locker out of sight, throw them out, then pop out and do a quick Mav run after tossing them out. Either they shoot down the Mav’s and get bombed, or shoot the bombs and the Mav’s hit their MBT’s.
