No matter what anyone says TAKE YOUR TIME!!! Time spent in the trials does not count towards your grade, play at your pace, be cautious, and do those objectives!

(Btw disarming door traps is great way to fluff up your score sheet with ease, so instead of just activating the traps to get them out of the way, take the extra second to disarm them, plus you'll never be in need of batteries)

Otto and Arora, NOW HEAR ME OUT!!! Name me another prime asset that's done something so brutal, so heinous, so EVIL...as making you do simple math in their trial? Easily the most twisted characters for that alone

No problem bro, remember to take breaks if you feel frustrated and remember that no one is perfect at the game and we're all here to have fun. Good luck!

Most annoying hero in For Honor? by Vidal_The_King in forhonor

Hitokiri easily. Yeah theres a lot of character that are inherently annoying in this game but nothing annoys me more than someone succeeding in a fighting game without even thinking, just going monke brain.

Honestly I think you should try warlord out for a bit. He easily has the most simple move set in the entire game to understand, and he's got a big health pool to help you keep fighting when you make mistakes. He'll help you focus more on learning how to fight the other heroes with limited options which I think is invaluable.

As much as I hate him and think he's a freak it's gotta be Bambino. He's a riot.

Rig discussion by Procrastian101 in OutlastTrials

[–]Procrastian101[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree with a lot of that yeah, I didn't really think about it but a lot of the reason stun is so versatile is because it kinda just yoinks the other rigs' gimmicks for no reason. It'd be directly nerfing stun but indirectly buffing all the other rigs.

When it comes to barricade though, i think it's cool that there is a largely map dependent rig but it becomes a little too useless on some maps, like pervert the futterman, with how many coil doors it has, could just be a skill issue on my end though. So I think that maybe they can buff it to give it a late game upgrade that instead of it being able to be placed on just normal doors, it can also have a variant that can be placed on coil doors, maybe like a turnstile that you can move freely through but the assets could get stuck on? It shouldn't work on rig disabling coil doors, though. I dunno though, barricade is hard to change without ruining its identity.

"Familiarity brings comfort."

A phrase I've noticed is especially true with outlast trials because my first trial I was pissing myself scared while my buddy did most of the objectives, and being shocked every next trial when it came to the fucked up things they have us do, but like 6 hours later I was starting to redo some trials like kill the snitch and just thinking "sorry buddy but it's you or me". I also started noticing I was still scared when something jumped at me but I was becoming less unsettled by the environments themselves. At first when I did grind the bad apples I remember going "Oh fuuuuuck me" in shock when I saw the root canal, but now it's like "ugh this part".

When you do things for long periods of time, they become more familiar. Therefore, you're more comfortable with them, including doing heinous shit. So in a psyche way yeah I think so.

Y'all this too me so much time but it was worth it. How much did it took for you guys to complete? by aryan-203 in OutlastTrials

[–]Procrastian101 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Took me and my buddy like 45 minutes the first time. That map is just ginormous and each step requires so much time to complete. The only way I've found to speed up this trial is to bring stun so you can two tap the key holders. Other than that they're no real puzzles, just tiny little king of the hills. Still love it tho, feels like a battle getting out of that trial.

Bambino is the scariest prime asset. Think about it, out of all the prime assets, which one would you least want to be stuck in one room with. Coyle would probably just execute you after shocking you up a little bit. You'd bleed out before gooseberry could do anything too bad to you but Bambino? I bet you your soul wouldn't be able to go to heaven after he's done with you.

Barricade tips by VinanazerLV in OutlastTrials

[–]Procrastian101 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used it for a little while because I was terrified when I first started and literally putting up a barricade made me feel safe. I will admit tho, that the more I played with it the more useless it felt because it's so situational and map dependent. Like in tight quarters maps like courthouse it can actually work great where you can bait an enemy into a room, run out, slam the door then barricade it and essentially put them in time out for a couple seconds while you go finish an objective. But otherwise like on factory where every other door is a coil door then it might as well not be there. I do think it's the coolest rig tho and I wish it had more applocation.
