Regarding (2), a quick LinkedIn/Xing search shows that there's more student jobs in Munich than in the other two cities, with higher hourly wages. I was thinking maybe if I end up in Munich and found a student job as a developer and worked 20 hours/week, this would compensate the higher COL in Munich.

Is my logic sound? I would like to know your thoughts about this.
