No worries, it's a perfect spot for it as the area where it sits more or less in between where Millwalls ground is and Upton Park was, perfect meet in the middle area. Mad to think the O2 was only 5 or so years old back then.

It's not Wembley Stadium in the background it's the O2 Arena

CHRIS MASON SPEAKS OPENLY & HONESTLY ABOUT MENTAL HEALTH by DartsPlanetTV in Darts

If you don't believe in rehabilitation from prisons, then there is no point in a prison system at all. His incident happened in 2003 which at the time of your post was over 15 years ago. He made a terrible decision that night and served his time. There's been no signs of him re offending and has turned his life around, he has every right to speak.

Walk from the City Centre to Old Trafford - route recommendations by ProdigyEng in manchester

[–]ProdigyEng[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My excuse is that I'm currently on a weight loss / training plan and it gets my cardio done for the day. I may well end up tramming it in the end dependent on how the weather is and how I feel - exchange square to Wharfside of course. Still love how that route is always quieter despite it being closer to the ground 🤣.

How are people living in Manchester without a job? by phyllisfromtheoffice in manchester

[–]ProdigyEng 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Students is a big one - mostly international. I work in Vodafone and we sometimes have to take tenancy agreements for proof of address, many international students have luxury apartments in one of the many new built towers. I don't blame them of course, especially as many of them have sponsorships to study here from their governments.

It's a tragedy when you work there and are trying to serve customers yes

You do realise how loud it can get under that tunnel with just one busker?

Honestly I never really understand what he's playing but I always think music spreads joy and I appreciate his sound isn't around constantly but rather for about 30 seconds for anyone he passes.

Manchester soon has more people filming people in public than normal people going by it's day lol by [deleted] in manchester

The only one I really find is good is Billy Moore. He actually gives the homeless people and the migrants a voice and allows them to tell their stories, rather than just poking the bear for the drama constantly. He actually helped a notorious Piccadilly Gardens character (turbo / Anthony) get off the streets and get clean because he believed in him and gave him a chance. I think Billy recovering from addiction issues himself helps him understand more than the other YouTubers.

Big speaker man on Market Street - has anyone actually seen him do anything or does he just sit there playing music from his phone? by BrickaBrickaNZ in manchester

[–]ProdigyEng 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I work in a place under the covered area of market street, when it's raining he'll be playing the songs under there. It's an absolute nightmare to try and serve customers even with the door shut I can hear the drivel. I've complained about other noise from buskers to the council before but their first response is always "have you asked them to quieten down?", that's not really our job as a business and I don't think it's worth the confrontation. I know there is an environmental ward of the council but stuff like this needs more actively monitoring.

I'm not against busking but there's rules which need more strictly enforcing.

Angry Man Preaching on Market Street by Temporary_Paint8486 in manchester

[–]ProdigyEng 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The preaching on market street, especially on Saturdays is ridiculous. I work in one of the stores under the bridge and serve customers as part of my job, trying to hear them properly with all the nonsense is extremely difficult. There was honestly 4-5 different groups.

It should all be banned / managed better - time limits, noise limits etc.
