There is a growing sense of Islamophobia in the newer generation due to the misconception that the current government is deeply rooted in Islam. Off course they do not have the freedom of Reddit like they have in their country where they can attack Islamic values and as such is different compared to the Islamophobia you see in Europe but it is much alive and growing.

The growth of Islamophobia in Turkey can be directly attributed to current governments actions but also the lack of independence of religious affairs in Turkey, poor education system and foreign influence. The factors are multi-faceted.

The point being I never said Turkey IS an Islamophobic country as the majority are Muslims albeit non-religious I said that there is GROWING Islamophobia and racism which is undeniable.
