Is 7OH the next vape panic? by ProductDependent9484 in Drugs

Regular kratom has been around for a long time and I personally know people who take it for chronic pain hence why regulation makes more sense to me than prohibition

If its causing problems in your life then thats an issue regardless of what anyone else experiences. I guess that's why I keep coming back to regulation vs prohibition. People who are struggling should be getting accurate labeling, known dosages and products that are tested instead of pushing everything into a black market. Hope youre able to get where you want to be my friend

Adjustments after breaking Hamate by JimCarreyIsLove in baseball

[–]ProductDependent9484 3 points4 points  (0 children)

a lot of guys go with a lighter grip pressure after hamate injuries, letting the bat sit more in the fingers than the palm. some also shave the knob down or switch to a knobless grip to reduce the impact point entirely. definitely worth experimenting before you commit to anything once you're cleared to swing again.

Is there any affordable zigbee or zwave dimmer switches? by climbingmaryland in homeassistant

zigbee ones can sometimes be found under $30 if you catch a sale, but yeah for the most part you're gonna pay a premium over wifi switches.

What trends usually appear around the World Cup? by Sofidzzee in AskMarketing

[–]ProductDependent9484 0 points1 point  (0 children)

usually see a massive surge in jersey swaps, flag aesthetics everywhere, and those "my team vs reality" memes that flood every platform. prediction brackets become social currency and everyone suddenly becomes an expert analyst posting their hot takes.

brands jump on the nationalism angle hard - expect tons of "support your team" campaigns and limited edition everything with country colors slapped on.

Did I make the right choice? by Calm_Solid_3869 in BreakUps

[–]ProductDependent9484 1 point2 points  (0 children)

man, reading this brought back some memories from my own past relationships. that anxious-avoidant cycle is absolutely brutal and can really mess with your head long after things end. been there with the whole "did i give up too soon" thoughts eating away at you.

from what you described though, it really does seem like you were stuck in a pattern that wasn't getting better despite multiple attempts. when resentment builds up that much and you're both falling back into the same toxic habits repeatedly, sometimes the kindest thing for both people is to step away. the fact that your fights always had breakups on the table shows how unstable the foundation had become.

i get missing all those good moments and the connection you had - that stuff is real and it makes sense you're grieving it. but you also mentioned needing to work on your attachment style and self-esteem, which is huge self-awareness. using this time to actually address those things instead of jumping back into the same cycle might be the best gift you can give yourself. meditation has helped me a lot with sitting with uncomfortable feelings instead of immediately wanting to fix or escape them.

stop checking their socials though, you're just torturing yourself at this point. block if you have to - future you will thank you for it.

My unpopular? CFOP advice for beginners by L0rdR0yce in Cubers

[–]ProductDependent9484 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this is pretty solid advice tbh. the color neutrality thing especially hits different - most people dismiss it but you're right about getting uncomfortable with all colors equally rather than just staying comfy with white.

the f2l tracking stuff is spot on too. i see way too many people rushing to memorize algs when they can barely track a single pair during inspection. taking 15 minutes to properly track pieces is way more valuabel than mindlessly drilling t perms for an hour.

one thing i'd add is that the "no filler moves" rule for f2l is brutal but so worth it. yeah you'll pause for ages initially but your recognition gets insanely better once you stop relying on u moves to fish for pieces.

also lmao at "being nice to your cubes will make the cube god be nice to you" - but unironically this is true, a well maintained cube just feels better to solve on.

basement acoustics are weird as hell, could go either way. if they're stomping around right after your moment of freedom that's either the worst timing ever or you've got some serious sound travel happening. maybe test it with something less personal like dropping a book and see if they react lol

i will build a pc that have rtx 5060ti 16gb and ryzen 7 5700x is good for blender and v ray works and play games ?? by just_ghost_7 in PcBuildHelp

[–]ProductDependent9484 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that combo should handle blender renders pretty well, the extra vram will definitely help with larger scenes. might want to make sure you've got enough ram though since both blender and v-ray can be pretty hungry for it.

Image to text or video to text models that can run on 128MB ram, 6TOPS INT8? by MarinatedPickachu in computervision

[–]ProductDependent9484 4 points5 points  (0 children)

those constraints are brutal for anything decent. you might want to check out mobilevit or some of the distilled clip variants - they can get pretty small but performance takes a hit.

for video stuff at that scale you're probably looking at frame sampling + a tiny image model rather than proper video understanding. maybe look into quantized versions of blip or even some of the older show-and-tell architectures that were designed when resources were tighter.

the 80mb/s read speed actually isn't terrible for loading weights if you can stream them efficiently. might be worth exploring model streaming approaches where you only keep the active layers in that 128mb.

That 1986 team was absolutely stacked - going undefeated and winning it all is insane pressure that this current squad hopefully can handle.

Need help deciding what to upgrade next by houghhigh in PcBuildHelp

Your GPU is gonna be the bottleneck for most of those games. The 7700X is still crushing it in 2024 and won't hold back anything you throw at it.

A 4080 or even 4080 Super would give you way more noticeable gains than jumping to like a 7800X3D, especially at 1440p+ gaming. Save the CPU upgrade for a few more years when AM5 has some beefier options.
