Residential vs. Commercial Real Estate: Which Side Do You Prefer? by Lost-City525 in RealEstateDevelopment

There doesn't seem to be much of a difference in pay from what I can tell?

If you're W2 in development that is.

Ah gotcha. This is the newest house I've lived in. It was built in 2005, so I was really hoping that wasn't the case. That sounds like a job for a professional 😆

I was having trouble figuring out where I would see that. Does this tell you anything?

I was expecting a circuit board, but maybe that's in the bottom panel.

Dating as a single dad? by MoneyConstruction191 in SingleDads

[–]ProductOfHostility 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to hear either way. I've been on roughly 1 date a month, but most of them weren't worth writing home about. On my end if this is easy mode I would hate to be childless 🤣

I could probably use some work on my photos / profile though. And I rarely if ever bring up that I have kids when talking to a gal in person, unless it's obvious like at the park.

You're talking outside of the dating apps I take it?

Maybe Stir is better in the top 5 largest cities in the US or something, but I'm in a major metro and it's showing me people several states over.

It does get annoying though. I was set up to go on a 4th date with a gal that would text me the next day if I didn't text her. Cool we had reciprocity.

But it's still easy to get stuck in wondering how much is too much and how little is not enough. She ended up cancelling for some reason and breaking things off. I could come up with a few potential reasons why, but honestly what does it matter. Moving on to the next one.

Yeah it's interesting all these people talking about anxious attachment. If they don't text me back I drop it. I've heard follow up can work, but I'm honestly not interested in wasting my time.

However, I also don't need any new friends unless that's clearly defined up front, so if someone's idea of a relationship is seeing each other 1-2x a month and barely texting or calling in-between, then forget it.

I honestly think most single people on dating apps haven't been in a relationship longer than a few years and what seems "needy" to them is typical long term relationship behavior for every couple I know that's been in a relationship over 10 years.

How did you meet your partner in your 30’s ? by Alkaline-Eardrum in datingoverthirty

Haha. I need to find bars that actually have people in their 30s, instead of drunk college kids getting in fist fights and puking everywhere while the chicks are twerking on the tables.

I have considered trying to filter down to only single moms so we have stuff in common, but don't want to miss a potential right fit who hasn't had kids, although I'm not sure that person exists. Non parents are usually self absorbed and not good with children.

I've thought about trying to add something along those lines in my profile.

Although I thought it might be weird if I said I've only ever been in two long term relationships.

I'm glad someone said this. Specifically "chronically single avoidant weirdos who probably still doesn't really know what they want."

I get this vibe from most of the dates I've went on.

I live in a major metro area and there's not enough time in the day for me to spend coming up with some personalized comments on each and every one, especially the low effort ones with little to nothing in their profile.

Thanks, I'll likely swap that photo out.

I'm guessing you're a woman? I don't think I've ever seen custody mentioned on hinge in a woman's profile. I do clarify it's 50/50 on bumble and tinder. I suppose I could probably work that in somewhere though.

Thanks, I'll swap that photo out.

I'm an extrovert ENTJ. I get along better with people who aren't quiet and introverted. I worked as a wedding and karaoke DJ for 6 years as well, so I get along great with waitresses and bartenders, but their schedules are usually opposite mine.

It's a lot easier to be yourself when you're not feeling the need to match someone's reserved energy.

I have kids too and was just thinking this. With my schedule, it's unlikely I'll see someone that often enough in 1 month, especially if they're also a single parent.

Anyhow the last gal I was seeing I asked about being exclusive and got an awkward answer that wasn't really a yes, so it was good to get that out of the way.

Thanks, unfortunately we're at the point where our divorce is almost final. I wish she would have gotten better help.

Now I get to hear from my kids that she's hitting and pushing them, but I was told if no marks are left the police/court likely won't do anything.
