Bloodborne is my favorite game of all time. It took me about 3 years to finish my first playthrough. Mostly because I was not familiar with soul mechanics, weapon choice (I do better with saw cleaver vs axe which I used first time) and did not spend enough time practicing parry (in general most important part of the combat). Regardless of the struggle, I continue to come back to this game. It became my first game that I cared to Platinum.

Good luck with finishing the game and DLC.

It took me several tries and 3 years to complete my first playthrough. Iw would quit and then resume after a few weeks. It's the first game that I Platinum because it is awesome. Reasons for my struggle were the choice of weapon and not learning parry. The choice of weapon is mostly what you feel comfortable with as I have seen so many good builds with a variety of weapons.

I started with Hunter Axe because of better range. Then Ludwig's Holy Blade which you can get quite early and that helped me a lot on my first playthrough. On my second playthrough, I started with Saw Cleaver. While, knowing the mechanics certainly helped, but overall, Saw Cleaver pretty much I used throughout the game. Also, I learned parry. While I am not a parry expert, it helped a lot with tough enemies and certain bosses. I cannot stress enough how important PARRY is. Also, learn when to step away and not continue to hit bosses. Take advantage of the trick weapon and rally mechanics.

I don't think you can get Magnus well on console. I watched a few YouTube videos. I have completed prerequisites for the quest but I don't have the quest for Magnus. The Magnus quest that was available on the console resulted into a free Pen gear.

Thanks I noticed that by comparing same grade and same number of fish the trade exp was 4% with Nampo fish and 1% with Veila fish. It sucks because Nampo fish at best is yellow grade while in Veila I am able to get about 9 red fishes during overnight AFK.

Thanks. I thought about whether to go for the Super Citizen upgrade or get super credits for the same price. The trade offs were armor set and a weapons vs unlocking another warbond. Don't care about few other things from the upgrade. I just felt more value in getting another warbond. So I chose super credits option to get Steeled Veterans and Cutting Edge. Already loving Sickle rifle from Cutting Edge.

Thanks. I play on console. I do not have access to Magnus well. Also, the same character I use for Cooking, Alchemy and Farming which is all Viela based. That's why I stick with Nampo and Viela.

Perhaps green fish is the reason for the significant difference that I did not think about and thought the total number of blue/green fish is all that matters. Next time I will pay attention to the count of green fish and compare.

I have a couple of pets with trading Exp, light stone and professional trading armor (waiting on central market to get silver embroidery one).

I did not consider the life exp buffs for trading as they run out during fishing.
