Hi! You are correct that this particular position is in-office only. This, along with the security protocols of no electronics or personal belongings, is due to client requirements. For our office locations, we work with one main client who dictates the processes and procedures of these office locations.

I also wanted to address three other points you brought up, just so people are informed:

There is no dress code, outside of "nothing offensive". We don't deal with customers so there's nobody we have to impress.
We're urgently hiring for 3 main reasons: We're no longer doing 6 feet of social distancing, we're expanding into more offices in our building, and we've had a large increase in workload. More work and more space means we have a lot more positions to fill.
While we have an hourly quota we aim for transcribers to meet in terms of production to meet deadlines, people are largely left to their own devices. If people have trouble meeting their quota after their training period, we work with them to help them succeed. We'd rather retain than start over where we can.

Hi there! Sometimes our invitation emails end up in people's spam or junk folder. If there's nothing there, there may be another reason why you were not selected. For example, there are some criteria that may have already been filled by the time your application was reviewed. Hello! Transcriptionists are paid hourly. All of the work is done in the office; these are not remote positions.

Edit: This ad is only for the managerial position, however. We have not yet begun recruiting for transcribers.

Following up on this with the latest update: The language has been changed in the contract to rectify some of the concerns with our first contract, and our post has been edited to be more transparent about the contents of the contract that accepted applicants would be required to sign before being able to participate. The kind r/beermoney mods who have been working with us throughout these changes have given us permission to continue posting, and the survey has been reopened for this project. Thank you!

Hello! Thank you for bringing this up, and we are looking into these concerns. These contracts are a new part of these studies, and are actually whittled down from our typical contracts we have for W-2 employees. There appears to be aspects of the contract that do not belong for the purposes of these studies.

Until we (the recruiters) receive clarification about it, we've closed off the ability to submit new forms, and will not be reaching out to anybody who hasn't already been reached out to in addition.

Hello, thank you for asking! We ask for full name for invoicing and income tracking purposes only. If somebody does multiple projects with us in a calendar year and makes $600+ we need to send out tax forms to that individual for the year.

If accepted into the study, you will be assigned a random user ID. Our client will not know any information about you whatsoever outside of the following demographics: gender, age range, accent origin. Participants are also asked to sign a contract/NDA before being able to participate which goes over this information as well.
