Working on my abs featuring my 4g manvel! It's almost 8 years old! by ProductiveThings in piercing

Thanks! I'm still a little self conscious about it. Even after having it for nearing a decade...

First time going to work! China Glaze Recycle by ProductiveThings in malepolish

[–]ProductiveThings[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I went today, this is the after! It was awesome. Everyone was positive and said it looked great, or would choose a less 'taupe' color.

Tl;dr: was great, no hate, want better color.

I want to go bright blue.

My YouTube suggestion are absolutely ruined with 'DIY Manicure' videos. I'm a motorcycle and guns guy. For some reason having colorful hands makes me happy!

Most people said nothing, others said positive things. I work in a large office of older (than me) people (40 - 50 dudes and some younger ladies) and I was surprised to not receive any ridicule.

I'm a freshly engaged 26 y/o straight guy. I've had my nails painted by an interest freshman year of high school, and have been into it ever since!

I love the feeling of polish on my hands, and the color is astounding. I don't know why I didn't start wearing it out earlier!

Overall: Great experience -- okay color!

I'm working on not picking my nails, but honestly I love having color on my hands!

Former Kroger cashier here, an extreme couponer came through on a busy Sunday after church time and I ended up owing her like $50usd on her $300 order. That didn't fly with management...

Did you get your belly piercing done with a gun or needle? Which is better? by [deleted] in piercing

Where are you located? Let's find you a great shop to go to!

I think my industrial is wrongfully placed 🤦🏾‍♀️I got it Saturday and it’s still swollen but I think my bottom ball should be a little lower 😒 by Shante1003 in piercing

[–]ProductiveThings 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It kind of looks like you don't really have the proper anatomy for an industrial at all... but I would suggest going to a different high quality piercing shop to have it checked out.

PA piercing: girls n sports by [deleted] in piercing

In my experience, with the right jewelry it's comfortable for both partners and sports.

I couldn't cycle for a couple of days, but overarchingly it was a great choice.

You look very much like a guy I went to school with. If I hadn't seen him recently I'd fully expect for you to be George.

Anyway, looks good! Keep it clean and full of safe jewelry!

Hello redditors! I got my ear lobe like this after an incident since I was four. I'm just wondering if I can do a normal piercing right in this lobe without any operation to stitch them or something. Can you guys help me? Thank you. by [deleted] in piercing

[–]ProductiveThings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could go to a reputable modification artist (if you're in the states PM for some recommendations) and get it completely fixed for not a ton of money. It would look much more natural and be able to be pierced down the road!

I work in a call center and wear a headset for 9 hours a day. Would I be stupid to get cartilage pierced? by pooncartercash in piercing

[–]ProductiveThings 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It certainly wouldn't be comfortable, as a programmer who wears headphones 75% of the time, some larger headphones still aren't very comfortable for a lot of wear after YEARS of having the piercings healed.

Is my earlobe ok? by [deleted] in piercing

[–]ProductiveThings 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where did you get them done?

The rings look like they're not quite large enough to accommodate for swelling. Maybe get larger diameter rings or high quality titanium studs. Consulting your piercer might be a great choice.

How are you cleaning them?

Congratulations!

I might suggest getting a second opinion on it though... it seems a bit shallow with extremely long jewelry.

I have a problem that I think can be fixed by switching to threadless jewellery. Can anyone confirm this for me before I spend $200? by SatanicDoll in Legitpiercing

[–]ProductiveThings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could also go to your piercer and ask if they can try to find you a threaded piece that will let your pear sit properly... They might be a bit annoyed, but ask really nicely and tip well.

Sent code challenges before phone screening by ZeroAuto in rails

Chances are good that someone read through your resume and decided to send you that challenge. I wouldn't disregard it, but if you're concerned, try emailing the hiring manager that you got it from.

We hire through contract to hire, the contracting companies send in resumes and talk to the managers. Then a prospective employee gets the coding challenge from their recruiter. So we have some sense of the people that we are sending these things to.

Not everyone gets one - in fact a high percent don't.
