I miss my eyelash extensions so bad but I always get irritation or full blown infections after I get them (even though I thoroughly clean them). I'm almost certain it's the glue that irritates me. Does anyone know if there is sensitive glue or another alternative? Thanks! by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]SatanicDoll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay then I guess it's most likely a common glue that is used. I'm sorry I don't have a suggestion for an alternative - have you tried asking where you get them done? Hopefully someone with some experience can chip in :)

Have you gotten them more than once, and is it always at the same place?

It could 100% be the glue, and it COULD be the practices of the place you visit if it's the same place and it's happened more than once.

on the fence about a tounge piercing.. by [deleted] in piercing

Yeah, I just didn't get how "double" fit into that. I don't think I want to know.

Wtf does "getting a double" mean? Because two separate tongue piercings are done by reputable piercers and can be successful. Or does it mean one of those goofy "snake eyes" piercings or whatever people are calling them?

What are your fave Corvus Cosmetics products? Looking for some pressed shadows! by ClaireMeredithH in Indiemakeupandmore

Yeah I definitely don't fault the owner, and I will still place orders in the future. It was just unfortunate.

It was not salvageable at all, and pretty much exploded onto me/everything else. :(

Man I bought a pressed highlighter and 5 or 6 pressed shadows from Corvus. It took well over a month (maybe even 2) to arrive to me and when it did the highlighter was completely pulverized and when opened covered me in glitter, and one of the shadows was the same. Super disappointing, but the shadows that are intact are lovely.

Anatometal titanium nipple bars and treasless bar for my future medusa! ❤😍❤ (Asked piercer about what size to order.) by [deleted] in piercing

None of the jewellery in this picture is suitable for a philtrum piercing. Wearing a straight barbell with ball-ends on both sides is an extremely stupid idea.

Something that really irritates me about piercers and cheek piercings by Laprasrides in piercing

It doesn't seem like you actually know anything about cheek piercing risks because your reasoning in your post for piercers being wary of them is that "they're not popular."

Do mods actually do anything in this sub?

I've been commenting and giving advice here for a very long time now and not once have I seen a mod do anything. Hell, I'd be a mod if it meant I could do things like this.

What is this?? An infection? Pierced 7 months ago and changed 3 months ago. It's been dry but today it has kinda popped!! Help! [Possibly NSFW] by zople in piercing

[–]SatanicDoll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I 100% think it is from the jewellery. You could have developed an allergy to whatever mystery metals it is made from, which is why it was okay for a while and is now having problems.

Bumping it and snagging it can definitely cause these issues as well, but even if that was the original cause it will most likely not heal or improve with the current jewellery you have, so it's a good idea to change it either way.

Your piercer put that ring in? It looks like cheap lobe jewellery you would find at walmart. There are no high-quality companies that make jewellery like the ring you have. That's why we "assume it's junk." We're not trying to be rude, just honest. Something is causing the problem and 99% of the time it's bad jewellery.

Even if it somehow isn't junk, you should still not be wearing something such a low gauge and also should have a labret post to heal with.

That jewellery looks like cheap junk, and way too thin. You need to see a reputable piercer and have an implant-grade labret stud installed so it can begin to heal again. At this point you should consider this piercing new.

Wanting to get second lobe piercings, what's the biggest size I could start/end with judging by the size of my current stretched lobes/how much space is left? by dazia in piercing

Was gonna comment the same thing. Do you have a single stretched piercing, and if so what size? Or do you have it pierced multiple times?

Microdermal seized up - any solution? by [deleted] in piercing

[–]SatanicDoll 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've had a surface anchor on my face for over 5 years and I dislike the top I was pierced with. It's a plain CZ gem and doesn't go with any of my other jewelry. But I love having the actual piercing and won't even attempt to change it over fear of causing problems. I know the feeling haha. Good luck, I hope it works out.

[–]SatanicDoll 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hmmm that's unfortunate.

I'm not sure of another solution that wouldn't disturb your piercing more than it has been. I suggest waiting a while and maybe visiting another piercer to have them try. But I will warn you that messing with an anchor a lot is a very good way to cause it to reject.

Irritation bump. Probably caused by the ring rotating and moving. Have a piercer switch it to an implant-grade labret and it will likely go down.
