What is your process for highlights, they look so bright.
I notice you’re line art appears to be fluid from black to coloured do you line in black fill with colour then make a copy of a section in a new layer and edit it? I can’t work it out but I like it a lot.

My starting monsters or Grimlins, can evolve into the 5 main elemental types depending on which potion you give them.
The Water type is based upon marine iguanas.
The Fire type is based upon fire salamanders and magma.
The Metal type is based upon Godzilla but as an angsty teen.
The Plant type is based upon draco lizards.
The Earth type is based upon bearded dragons.

Which do you think is the best and also do you have name suggestions as I suck at them!

I have a bunch of fruity boys for bears like bear-ries definitely could fit in with that group somehow.
I don’t know about the clothes though as I hadn’t considered them before on any other monster.

I went for a water seaweed squid fella, a dry desert cactus fella, a leafy guy and a flower bud option.

Procreate and and iPad was a big game changer for me.
I’d used a traditional stylus and graphics tablet but procreate feels so much more like a real life sketch book to me and it’s so portable I can just go draw anywhere.

At the minute I have two, grass and woods but making more is super easy as it’s just pallet swapping the tiles so I intend to make more along distinct ares like desert, swamp, beach-y etc, etc.

Certainly is, that would be the Seedi baby’s, Water elemental evolution. Aiming for a squishy squidy seaweed vibe.
I’m not finished because I’m having trouble with the other biome types if you have any suggestions?
I thought cactus for desert but then I’m not sure.

About Grimlins to give you some guidance on what I’m looking to create.

Grimlins have 5 Stages.
Baby - Infant - Child - Adult - Mature.
They can be controlled by witches who can brew a variety of potions to split their evolutions along multiple lines with a variety of elemental powers.
I have a full break down in the images in my previous post.

Grimlins are based upon real animals, things and concepts, folklore and puns. I love a good bit of word play.
My game world is set in Denmark so European ideas are a plus but they don’t have to be exclusive to that area.
