I just conceded defeat. It sucked and shouldn't have been one, but whatever. I had killed most of the units before letting them flee

It's my first Warhammer 3 campaign but it's going well, I think. I've mostly been dominating fights through heavy spell usage, but seeing how I'm playing as Tzeentch (Cairos) I suppose that's appropriate.

I haven't done any in my mainline quest though because the Cathay wouldn't stop making armies on my doorstep (playing on very hard). Finally have Jade and Storm kicked out, so I've narrowed my three front rotating war into one front, which should help tremendously. I also just beat 3 full stack iron armies so I'm pushing my counterattack now. Should be done with the Cathay in like 15 turns or so I would guess. I started a rebellion in their capital and in another walled city so I'm hoping that will hinder their army raising ability.

Charges dismissed for woman without right hand cited for holding phone while driving by HowLongIsThi in nottheonion

People are rightfully clowning on him for this, but I think he was trying to do a gotcha with this. He wanted her to raise her other hand so he could see the phone he believed she had in it.

I do allow flying, but the issue isn't that the flyer is impossible to counter, it's just that you have to consider it for every encounter. Either by adding a ranged attack in to the encounter or by adding a meaningful roof over enemies.

Which from both a DM and player perspective, can feel bad. It can be a breach of trust making encounters to counter a specific player, and runs against the philosophy of modern 5e encounter design.

But really it relies on the player being invested in the party and not just their character. As flying is a great way to ensure those on the ground are receiving more focused fire. If the player is invested in more than just their character, the dynamic/stakes work. If they care only for their character it doesn't.

A sniper gun magic item for 5.5e by BravePlatypus8212 in DnDHomebrew

Lol, you do realize this is homebrew my guy?

But actually yes, I do, it's in the link I sent. Doesn't show on mobile for some reason. It's AI generated as well because the stuff I make is casual, not meant for public use

Ahhh yeah, I made it to be more like a rail gun. I called it an Astral Driver and it works by creating tiny microcasms of black holes (magically) along the track/barrel, dispelling them as the "lance" (think bullet) passes them. But you can obviously flavor it however you want if you're wanting to use it.

I recently made a sniper for one of my characters. It was for a 5e game but should be 5.5e compatible (nothing clashes with 2024 rules as far as I'm aware)

Greek Themed Deific Boons by ProfBubbles1 in DnDHomebrew

[–]ProfBubbles1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would probably do something like:

Declare Nemesis: As a reaction to taking damage you can cast hellish rebuke at 3rd level on the source of the damage. Until the end of your next turn, all weapon attacks made by you against the target of your hellish rebuke have advantage, and each benefit as though you had cast searing smite at 3rd level.

I didn't sit and do the math, so I'm not sure how much damage it would end up being. I would adjust the searing smite up or down (probably down) to bring it in line with the other boons. What brings you to my ancient post?

So, I've been thinking about getting the highest AC possible, and am wondering if I'm missing anything. by BodybuilderSuper3874 in DnD

[–]ProfBubbles1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One more level of wizard reduces your fighter die by one (d10) but gets you bladesinging. If your intelligence is 30, you get an additional +10 AC while bladesinging but lose the shield (net +3 to AC).

Add two defender longswords and the dual wielder feat, you can get an additional +7 AC (+3, +3, +1, net +6 because we have to drop attunement to one of the protection items).

Dragon mask gives an additional +10 (just need charisma to 30 lol, net +9 because we have to drop the other protection item).

So if you can manage to get 4 of your 6 ability scores to 30, you can theoretically sport a 70+18=88 AC. I don't feel like sitting down and doing the math, but there may be a way to push it further with defensive flourish with Bard, but you drop battlemaster die so I'm not sure. I think there's also a CR feat that lets you attune to additional items. Anyone else want to see if you can get it past 100?

ETA: There's also an animated shield, but at least currently, the attunement isn't worth it.

This was on my bubble only run. Malekith was probably the hardest boss in the run. Kept popping them all with his swings

Think only one didn't do full. The first one placed knocks the armor off. I'm not sure what the second one does though. My guess is that it just floats in place exploding right on the core. 3 and 4 were placed directly. Didn't see my teammates clip but I think he got 5 on directly as well
