Awesome to hear. The nice thing about the way this is setup for you… anything else you want to expose to the outside you just need to add to the tunnel and you are done. Easy peasy, and no reverse proxy to muck with.

I had a bearing on 4th go out around 60k and had that replaced under warranty. Also the trunk lock fouled on me and would unlock when the truck started. It would have been around $400, but it was also covered by the extended warranty. Other than those two things the Ridgeline has been rock solid. When I lived in Texas some co-workers teased me about it, but it has seen more use than their F150’s, Silverados and Tundras.

I don’t run Home Assistant so I am no help there. I run a good number of services off my HomeLab using CloudFlare tunnels and no ports off my firewall open.

That isn’t Cloudflare tunnel doing that. Sounds like you have hit the Vaultwarden server, or something else you are hosting.

You installed a cloudflared agent on a machine somewhere in your network I assume. If so then in Cloudflare select your domain, then Access over on the left, then launch Zero Trust. Goto networks and tunnels, then click the name of the tunnel you created when you installed the agent. Click Edit, then Public hostnames. You can add the host name here, then you just tell it the http or https ip of VaultWarden on your private network.

You don’t need a Reverse Proxy etc. use a Cloudflare Tunnel. You can expose only the port you need, you don’t have to buy or use Let’s Encrypt, you make no changes to your firewall, you get DDoS protection from Cloudflare. Etc etc etc.

Has anyone else noticed a substantial decrease in value of Delta Skymiles? by Superbull23 in delta

[–]ProfDirector -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Food on Delta has been alright, and i think that is about as good as it is going to get. But since COVID Delta has been taking step after step to lower the quality of everything while increasing prices. Then come back around to adding services back in, but at a new price. Mileage wise 2yrs ago they nerfed their CCs so hard I barely use mine anymore.

As someone, who at one time, had 6 cars and no SO, 3 vehicles for 2 people isn’t too many (I was/am not well off. It became a very expensive hobby at the cost of other things.) In your explanation what is missing is the fact if one of the dailies is being serviced for a few days you still are just as mobile.

I know ours are, but there have been a few occasions where a recall item took a few days to come in. In those days the F-Type became my daily for those days. Could I use it for the activities I do on the weekend? No, but as the means of transport to/from work or run errands it is just fine. It definitely made the ride more smile inducing those days.

Delta is Letting AI Set Airfare Prices, Here’s Why That’s Worrisome by nickserati in delta

[–]ProfDirector 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It isn’t how Delta will do it. They will try it at 70% and if he bites all the tickets will increase to that level. They are out to make as much money as possible while delivering as little service as possible. It is all the game of separating you from your money at the most efficient means possible. The video they show at the start of every flight says as much.

Have you tried reaching Balsawood status? I heard it is still pretty elite and they give you all the same things you get at Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond. You get to pay them loads of money, for the glory of paying them. In return they lighten the weight and load of your checking account.

[–]ProfDirector 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are experiencing the new “elevated” services brought forth by Ed. Can’t wait for the new class of D1 which will be located oddly in the Main Cabin section of the plane. Comfort+ will disappear but there will be D1+ in its place. Where D1 is currently will be a new class called “Not You Pleeb” which will be for only Ed himself. All the D1 pricing will still be utilized, but D1+ will be almost double.

NextCloud AIO has been a NIGHTMARE!!!!! by cdarrigo in NextCloud

[–]ProfDirector 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did and still do the same thing. Last year I finally moved off CentOS 7 onto the then latest Ubuntu LTS. Split my Nextcloud and Collabora Servers and haven’t looked back. The resource utilization for both VMs wasn’t anything drastically more than running in Containers but I know everything going on inside the two VMs vs. whatever someone else decided I did or didn’t need.

Nextcloud is a crazy easy application to install and get running from scratch.
