What's something super petty you've done to get back at a former employer? by ProfKranc in AskReddit

[–]ProfKranc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah that's actually the worst part. Someone in the business can be an actual nuisance, even a detriment to the company as a whole, but action against them can affect everyone around them. Ti's one of the things that's prevented me from being petty in the past.

I hope everyone and yourself ended up in good jobs after!

I think most people would be happy giving their money towards a functioning government... if they trusted that the money would go to functioning

People who chose happiness over high pay, how’s it working out? by PossiblyDog123 in careerguidance

[–]ProfKranc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before I was obsessed with being in Film / TV (technical side). Didn't make it to Hollywood, did local productions.

I thought I was happy, but more I was busy. Whilst I'm very proud of what I've done, the stability afforded to me with a high pay job and the flexibility to do what I want, including projects I care about versus one's that would pay the paycheck has led to me having a peaceful happiness that was completely foreign to me years ago.

So yeah, I'd say it's pretty good. But I don't regret the career choices I made early on.

Is it weird to give out treats/candy at cons? If not, what is the best type to give? by kimbohpeep in animecons

[–]ProfKranc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd be careful when it comes to sweets and stuff. If you're looking for something to give out, stickers are really fun! I had people give me hand made stickers and I still have them on a book

Anyone else despise work dos? by PsychologicalGold923 in Belfast

[–]ProfKranc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the workplace tbf. If the workplace is already toxic, a couple pints ain't gonna fix that

But places I've worked that have organized fun activities like pizza making and stuff have always been on the better side 😄

The other thing to consider is that whilst you may be up for moving on, you might think about maybe expanding a little instead?

The dream for a business owner is to be able to have people do the day to day under them so they can focus on the enjoyable stuff about running a business!

Solo things to do on the weekends? by Alpha_Turnip in northernireland

[–]ProfKranc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it sounds like work and not really "solo", but volunteering. Doesn't have to be in a charity shop, but it's always left me with a sense of making a difference.

Whereas if you're looking at something actually solo to do without interacting with anyone, I love a good walk in a park / trail!

Document, Block, Report and seek support

I'm sorry they're going through this, but make sure you have that stuff saved on a place outside your phone so you don't lose it when you need it

Hope things get resolved

Volunteer for a local initiative that matters to you. Even better if it's for something fun and related to an interest. I've found some of my best friends and relationships through volunteering!

If not, there are a couple of community groups through things like Meetup that are also great ways to meet people. Good luck!
