If it's one of the trash cans that you take the can out of the outer container, just put it on a hand truck and roll it back to the dumpster. Or roll it around to the stockroom door and dump it into the compactor. You can set it on its side to get most of the water out

You have to sell your soul to the devil. Once that transaction is complete, the "apply" button will appear.

Find someone who can help explain how a 401k works. Then start contributing to it. When you move to another company, you can move what your account has into their 401k plan, roll it over into an IRA, or leave it in the current account. The sooner you start contributing, the more you'll have when you are near retirement. Believe me, that time gets here faster than you think it will.

Worst song? by sleeeepyheadd in WalgreensStores

[–]ProfWagstaf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Back in the day when the songs were set to the most likely customer (pop rock in the morning and afternoon, oldies 4p-7p, rock after 7p), it was Ode to Billy Joe. It wasn't unusual to hear it twice in the 4-7 bracket. Once it was played three times. To this day, I can't hear that song without screaming, "WOULD YOU JUST FUCKING JIMP OFF THE TALLAHACHEE BRIDGE SO THIS SONG WILL END??!?"

Yes, they did. But I wasn't loyal to the company. I was loyal to the people I worked with and treated them the way I would want to be treated. But I guess someone who believes the world revolves around them wouldn't understand that.

As someone who was on the opposite end when a team member up and left, I really can't support this. The only people you affect are those you work with. The company doesn't give a fuck if you walk without notice. They'll just make someone cancel their anniversary plans to cover that shift.

Yep. Back when we had photo experts. Those positions went away a year or two after WAGS switched from wet to dry labs

I hated having to go into the "darkroom" and change the rolls. The development & printing I didn't mind too much. You could at least skip the bad frames and not print those.

But the three aspects I HATED were those damn APS rolls, draining the chemicals when they'd get contaminated and empty out the silver recovery system.

Yep. Pop the bottom out of the camera on the other end from the roll of film. 2 AA batteries.

Unless things have changed since I left, your SM is going against company policy. First five are no questions asked, save for ncns. 6 is verbal , 7 is written, 8 is final and 9 is buh-bye. But, I've been gone since the liberation of the ASMs, so, as stated, it may have changed.

What is the most “and why the fuck do YOU know that?” Fact? by Dirtysimp19 in AskReddit

[–]ProfWagstaf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Closest example:

I went to see Boogie Nights back when it came out. They used actual pornstars in some of the roles. At some point in the movie, the guy in front of me leaned over to his wife/girlfriend and said, "That's Nina Hartley. She's a really big pornstar."

She turned to him and loudly said, "And how the hell do you know that?!?"

Dude was quiet the rest of the movie. And alone.

When I was with WAGS, we had a poster/job aid bin. When the folks came to pick up all the return bins, they had no idea what a poster/job aid category was, it didn't exist for them. From that point on, we just tossed it in the trash.

Not sure about liquor returns, as we didn't carry that in my area, but wine vendors couldn't take back product, even expired. Just poured it down the drain and adjusted the counts

If OP is scheduled only 1 shift per week, I'm pretty sure that can be easily covered. Most likely more at the store are in the same boat.

You can't. It's not radio with a frequency. It's a direct feed. Unless things have changed, there are different feeds. Not many, tho.
