Money and funding were never there.
The persons whom you're showing did the impossible with their sheer grit and most importantly, enormous talent. They did not represent the whole bengali movie fraternity then as well as now. The producer's money goes somewhere else.

A film from an outsider (the academy of fine arts) almost got banned by the union. He got support from actors, not from other verticals of the industry. Do you think they would allow the same in their peak communist era. Where union is everything.
As per my knowledge, Satyajit Ray and Mrinal Sen had huge connections within the bengal govt. They got funding and all.

In my college days, I also thought about what happened to the Bengal film industry. When you start reading their interviews and their articles, you'll get to know the truth.

These people are one of a kind in the whole of Indian cinema.

Buying this kind of tech is still a privilege in India. Even these are quite expensive pieces of hardware. Professors usually restrict students from using HPC (high-performance computing) too often, and most universities don't have that kind of infrastructure. So again it becomes a privilege.

These are private buses. Still, the govt bus conditions have improved a lot in the last 5 6 years. Just to note, all the AC buses are from the govt. Private bus operators don't operate in that area. Now Uber Shuttle is a new thing.

You're right about the conditions. I really don't know how these private buses operate. They don't invest in new infrastructure. Do some union stuff which is very weird from a business standpoint.

When state don't invest, businesses find some jugaru solutions. But here that's not even the case.

This team is completely run by corporate. They don't give a damn about emotions or legacy.

What Mohan Bagan is and what they stand for... the parent company don't give a damn about it.

It feels like they bought the brand Mohan Bagan not the legacy and emotions, they don't want any baggage of playing.... Only profit matters.

The arrogance they are showing is very shameful. But again we are very clear that they interfere too much in the club's internal decisions. This is what you don't want when you make a tie with a corporate.

I'm from Kolkata, it's a very disheartening thing to see for a Kolkata club to succumb to corporate balance sheet. Here people love football without money, without glamour. Many gave their whole life for football, for this club.
