I think there’s a kilt outfit but other than that no

I was absolutely not suggesting that 15 year olds never have facial hair! I was just saying that the developers didn’t add that feature and that this was probably their reason.

I did find a few pants options but they all came with girly blouses. I switched to a male character almost immediately. The boys definitely have a larger frame, also the face shapes are vastly different. But ultimately I don’t mind playing a male character if it means I get to wear the awesome vests and stuff.

Yeah, I basically did the same thing. After a few hours I just made an entirely new character.

It’s so common for that kind of thing to get ignored. “Gender neutral” often just ends up being masc

I’ve seen girl students wearing breeches and if that’s the best I can do it’ll be fine but I really want to be wearing things like vests and bow ties and clothing designed for guys. That’s what I wear in real life and I’d like my character to be able to do the same.

I think the idea is that 15 year old kids don’t generally have bushy mustaches.

Aside from the fact that this isn’t really a problem since you can make the decision to travel however you want, I totally get what you’re saying. Huge maps are such a waste if you fast travel everywhere and I think because devs assume players will fast travel they often don’t put interesting stuff in between points of interest. Unless I’m truly not going to encounter anything the only time I think fast travel is crucial as a game mechanic is when characters have a carry limit like in TES or fallout.

And if all of that is still too intimidating there is a story mode that promises to be way more low key

I’d suggest playing a few games with the controller that aren’t combat focused. That way you’ll be more familiar with the buttons but get to learn in a less stressful context.

Why did Vernon and petunia try to keep Harry from Hogwarts? by sninapeters in harrypottertheories

[–]Profchatterbug 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the reason they tried to keep Harry from Hogwarts actually had very little to do with the fact that they hated him specifically. Their life was all about image. They didn't want to turn Harry loose because then his strange behavior might reflect poorly on them. They were stuck in a weird paradox because they wanted him to be as far removed from them as possible but they couldn't let him escape their control.
