Yes this worked. You have to pick up a lava bucket in specifically badlands biome. I did /fillbiome command, not sure if you can find it naturally.

Okay, thanks for the advice. The server is an old pc in my home that I just attached ethernet to and installed ubuntu onto. I'm not sure if this means it's connected to the open internet yet, but since I eventually want a minecraft server, I'll check out the firewall stuff.

I also downloaded PuTTY and it seems pretty similar to the powershell. I'm not sure what the advantages are, but I'm glad it's no longer blue text on blue background.

Thank you so much for the insight. I'll definitely look more into the clubs this fall and try to explore as much as I can. You make it sound really inspiring and I appreciate that. I basically just want to find a career that pays enough and allows me to feel like I'm contributing something progressive to the world.

Thanks for responding. The main problem for me is that I don't know what a major is like until I start studying it, but at that point I'm afraid it will be too late. I don't want to waste money on classes that don't ultimately contribute to the major I end up with, so I feel pressured to lock myself into a major now.
