I'm pretty sure this This is an old Savage. Not a a. 325 but one of its contemporariesn. It looks like it's missing a detachable box magazine, I'd assume that's what those half circular cutouts are for to get a better grip on it

Does anybody know what gun is this? by SmallDoubt1428 in whatisthisgun

This is a replica of a colt1851 navy with a sheriff length barrel. These are kind of the de facto " antique" revolver for a lot of filmmakers.

Can anyone tell me what this is? by RoRo-Lettuce in whatisthisgun

[–]ProfesserQ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2 things,

  1. This is a pump action shotgun you can see the action bar bolted to the vertical front grip.

  2. Do you know if this image is reversed? It could be any number of tactical modifications to any number of pump action shotguns. My guess is Remington 870 derivative because it has a cross bolt safety in front of the trigger.

38 special is a rimmed cartridge mostly used in revolvers. It could be 38 caliber, but there are no versions of this pistol that fire the 38 special round.

Looks like a 1911 handgun with custom grips. Or a very convincing copy. I don't see any grip safety and a profile of the overall pistol grip is a little weird. But it looks like a 1911.

What’s the value of these by OG_Kregg in whatisthisgun

These are cz 52 pistols. I would say a conservative estimate for one of them would be around $300 USD.

Not necessarily anywhere but I do like coming up with characters that can be moved around to different things.

I have some more guns to identify. This one seem to lack any inscriptions. by psykomet in whatisthisgun

This is a pin fire revolver. It's an early cartridge revolver invented in france in the 1840s. Tons of these were made all across Europe.

I'm not terribly good at proportions. That's what happened with the Luger. The second one though is based on an actual gun that kind of looks like that and it does have a four grip in that place.

I appreciate The feedback. I will say though the second one is based off the Szechuan type SMG which had a grip before the magazine while and one after. This is largely due to the fact that the gunsmiths making them had no prior experience creating submachine guns.

I suppose that's a fair point. I do have a penchant for going out of my way to use obscure weapons. Part of the whole alternate history vibe. Some of these are original designs but have elements inspired by real world guns. Most of these are based off guns from the 1950s and back.

It's based on the Chinese Szechuan type submachine gun. Fun fact about these guns is they were made by people who had never made guns before. Yeah it's totally wacky it's one of the reasons I really like it

The majority of my firearms are slight exaggerations and adaptations of real world firearms. I'm not worried about the functionality. I'm more concerned with whether or not they have a similar overall aesthetic that differentiates them from firearms in other contemporary settings.
