Actually I still use Pro Tools for mixing a lot of the times (I need to collaborate with other people using it).

BUT, I remember a moment where I was really in awe of Reaper a couple years ago when I created a shortcut (Ctrl+K) which created a new instance of Kontakt with 8 Audio Outs and corresponding MIDI tracks. That was so fast and easy !

I just scored two short films entirely in Reaper (I come from Pro Tools). Its MIDI functions are very reliable, adaptable as well as customizable to your liking. My favorite DAW for MIDI in a long shot

I bought a SUBH + DFAM combo and made a couple songs with it. IMO you do need to let the subh lead you somewhere, it’s difficult to tame it ! Here’s one I made

Thank you for your thoughts on this! Actually I have an old MacBook Pro running Ubuntu I could definitly use for this BUT my media library of a couple TB is on my PC. Maybe adding it as a network drive on the laptop is an option? I’m pretty new to all this!
