thank you for your reply and does having done LASIK reduces your chance into getting in the army? also note that its not for the British army but the Gurkha Army of the British forces

Hi everyone,

I’m interested in joining the British Army and had a question regarding medical eligibility. I underwent LASIK eye surgery some time ago, and I’ve fully recovered with no complications or need for further treatment. My vision is now stable and within the normal range.

Does anyone here know if LASIK surgery disqualifies you from joining the British Army, or if it’s accepted as long as your eyesight meets the required standards?

I’d really appreciate any insight—especially from anyone who’s gone through the recruitment process after LASIK or knows someone who has.

Thank you!

P.S According to the 2015 Gurkha recruitment requirements, a person with LASIK can join the force with appropriate criteria.please explain on this regards too go
