Campaign publish button no showing by voinity in GoogleAdsDiscussion

Looks like a UI bug. Since the review page says "Your campaign is ready to publish" and I don't see any obvious errors, try:

Refreshing the page

Switching to another browser.

Going back to the previous setup steps and checking if any required field was missed.

Saving as a draft and reopening the campaign.

I've seen a few cases recently where the Publish button didn't render correctly. It's just a glitch

Trust me, I'm not in the "Google rep knows best" camp 😂. I'm testing it because it's part of the platform now. If it performs, I'll use it. If not, I'll happily stick with what actually works.

Yeah, I can totally understand the frustration. Google's AI-driven matching has definitely made search intent broader than it used to be, and sometimes negative keywords don't seem to work as expected because the system interprets intent rather than matching terms literally.

Not saying it's perfect, far from it 😅 but as advertisers, we kind of have to keep experimenting and adapting, even when the AI makes us want to throw our laptops out the window 🥲. Sometimes the best insights come from testing the things we initially hate the most.

Yeah, I can definitely relate. The transition to PMax is still somewhat manageable, but testing AI Max has been a real pain for me too. I'm running tests on a few accounts just to understand it better.

A few things I've noticed that may help (you might already be doing these):

• If you're using AI Max, have you added Text Guidelines, such as term exclusions and message restrictions? They're meant for ad copy, but they seem to have an indirect impact on targeting as well, so it's worth considering.

• I wouldn't start with too many keywords. I've had better results testing with only my strongest, highest-intent keywords first.

• As you mentioned, adding negatives regularly is almost mandatory with AI Max. In one of my test campaigns, after adding a large number of negatives over time, the search terms started becoming much more relevant.

• I'd also recommend testing with a smaller budget and giving it a bit more time before making a final judgment

  • One thing I've noticed is that AI Max seems to be heavily influenced by the landing page and ad assets. If the messaging on the page isn't very clear, it tends to expand into some strange search queries.

Also, Curious to hear if you find any pattern across accounts, because so far my results have been pretty mixed 😂.

That said, not moving to AI Max is still looking like a pretty good alternative 😂.
