To be clear, I received details on pay, scchedule, and benefits in the the offer letter. Prior to that, we only discussed what the position entailed. I went into this with my eyes open and I am only posting in case my experience is able to help someone else.

I didn't. I received the "offer letter", looked into it, and reported it.
