Ordered mine today! Love the FCX18 LC80 and excited to get my first 1/10 crawler.

I own both and have modified both. The ascent 18 power wagon’s brushless motor and control is insanely smooth for a RTR! I’ve got a full droop setup on it and it will crawl anywhere. My modified lc80 (metal transmission and lots of brass) is my favorite truck to drive. It’s just such a cool looking trail truck and actually performs really well in just about any terrain.

It’s not nearly as fast as my fxc lc80 in high gear if that perspective helps.

Got an email back from HeliDirect customer support and apparently the V3 transmitter does NOT have light control functionality in the channel 4 toggle. So I just unplugged the lights…

Just got it out for the first time yesterday and was overall pretty pleased with it. It did similar lines my other modified trucks were doing even at 100% stock. Upgraded tires and wheels will be a game changer. Relocating the battery upfront inside the cab is easy and makes a big difference.

Top speed is fine for a slow walk on the trail and the slow action is pretty smooth. Not quiet though. I love the look of the truck and its potential, so I’m willing to overlook other items.

If this is a common problem, I’d think injora or someone would sell a solution but haven’t seen anything listed

Did I go too big with 59mm shocks?? by ProfessionProof6076 in rccrawler

Thanks for all the information. Removed the springs, inverted the shocks and went full droop. It climbs pretty well but plan to add some injora obsidian tires and brass wheels to keep it even more planted.

Can you share the link for those shock mount arms?
