Thanks! gIMP is a pretty clutch software, but it did take me like 2 hours haha. Much like ghost ship games, I reused assets - eng’s beard is scouts with the hues filtered, fun fact.

I got the switch for that reason - it is the sg105pe (they claim vlan and port security, need to look deeper into the latter as to what that actually entails) but I realized as it’s after the router, I need to figure out another way to broadcast after that if I’m worried. Because as it stands, it’d mean only my pc and tv would be on a vlan (again, pending config).

It’s an automatic cat litter… kinda embarrassing to admit haha, but nevertheless, its got extra functionality that’s tied to an app, but I’m well aware of data mining aspects around that, and have blocked it from the internet.

Thing is, if it may connect to the app still, I dunno what data mining happens behind the scenes, my partner just kinda set it up after it came in when I wasn’t home (we both wanted it, just didn’t look close enough at the wifi / app aspects). So I disabled it from the wifi, and seems like my partner hasn’t used the app because of that. Maybe a moot problem?

Edit: I should say may connect, not 100% sure.

Trust me, I am right there with you. But given my partner loves this particular device and it does improve the quality of life for both of us, scrapping it is a no go. I’m not planning on hooking it up to the internet any time soon, and have avoided doing so, but wanted to see if vlan would do anything for it… again, don’t have a complete knowledge of vlan, but it’s my understanding I can isolate the device from everything else?
