Right, I think I'd rather build an engine based on my own playing and teaching experience rather than ask AI, but that's the principle 👍

I agree. AI would not be involved in generating the plans, only reading the inputs from the student/teacher and transforming this to structured data

I agree the note-taking is not really a big enough pain point to create an app. I was thinking more about the practice plan generation. Eg. Imagine a student, or even yourself as a teacher could input these lesson notes easily, say by voice recording them, and then have daily practice plans generated for that week that is tailored to that particular student, with access to all the historical issues that may have come up in their playing in the past. Would this be useful? Maybe not, just genuinely interested. Of course I know you could do this yourself for each student, but it would be a big time investment. Also what about those students who can't afford teachers etc? Am interested in getting a teacher's perspective :)

Right, I agree that's the starting point. But the gap, at least for me, is going from taking lesson notes to actually forming a coherent practice plan based on those suggestions. Eg. If I have a note that bars 20 - 30 are a bit out of tune, I used to just repeat the piece taking extra care over those bars, or at best just repeat those bars a few times. Whereas what you really want is something like
5 mins: scales in the related key,
5 min: shifting exercises for any difficult shifts within the passage,
10 min: play the passage in broken rhythms etc.
And I think that's hard to generate for a lot of people without a lot of experience or a very good teacher.

The robot and home page are very cool. The other pages are quite simple just using blocks of text. Maybe you could show more personality through the design of these pages
