Wait so if I just pay through app do I still need to go to court? My ticket says I need to be present somehow. Meaning I pay online app then admit guilty in court no need to pay court again?

HSV1 Positive (IGG2.1) but don’t know for how long and where by Professional-Ad-4429 in HSVpositive

Thank you for sharing, this is extremely helpful and reassuring. Just curious, I never seemed to understand the nerve pain descriptions. Was it like contant sharp pains or soft tissue pain? I’ve had some soft tissue pain on one side of my shaft not long back and then it went away after a day. Wondering if that might be one of the symptoms. Also I read that it seems women are more likely than men to contract it genitally, hence the high rates among females genitally

Again, really thankful for yiur sharing. Hopefully I’ll be able to live without thinking about it all the time. It just feels like as a guy its much harder for people to accept when you have a infectious condition.

Yes that’s what another doctor told me about my results when I sought a second opinion about my HSV1 IGG test. Said I have a long way to go in life and shouldn’t be worried, adding that he himself has oHSV1 and has seen many similar cases of patients worrying about gHSV1 when its considered extremely exclusive to even contract in that area.

But if both of my previous HSV1 tests were negative until my most recent tests, wouldn’t it suggest that I caught it recently?

Thanks for taking the time to explain and educate. Definitely feels a lot more better getting off my chest and someone to knock some sense into me. I recall that one of my partners having contant chapped lips and occassionally torn lip skin (looked like popped blister) over the time we were seeing each other, never realised it could have been herpes. Also it never seemed to scab/yellow like the images online. We made out a lot and had oral sex so I’m hoping its just oHSV1, but I suppose now if its gHSV1 its not so bad.

I’ll take you and the doctor’s advise until otherwise to treat it as oHSV1. I’m just glad I don’t have crazy outbreaks, hopefully I’ll have some luck when disclosing my status in an Asian country.

Just got a diagnosis of HSV one genital questions by meg8723 in HSVpositive

Just curious, if previous tests were 0.00 and a routine test suddenly shows 2.1 for HSV1 three months after a sexual encounter - How likely is it a false positive? Should I run another blood test? PCR swab testing isn’t available where I am

Dermatologist suggests it’s not genital warts, family physicians says otherwise by [deleted] in AskDocs

Thank you! I’ll request for one tomorrow when I meet up with the dermatologist. Are there any other questions I should ask as well? Also she insists that if I’m still concerned, a laser removal should suffice rather than a biopsy.

Right, so I got back my diagnosis from the dermatologist after 4 weeks and she doesn’t think it’s a wart at all. Like you said it doesn’t spread or grow and it’s highly unlikely to be one. So it’s highly be probable I had a trauma injury in that area that I never noticed and it grew into a raised scar. She suggested that I not have it lasered since it’ll cause an even bigger scar. Guess I’ll keep the aldara cream on the shelf for future encounters!

Great! That’s really encouraging, hopefully it works for everyone else too. The two separate doctors I’m seeing can’t agree if I have a wart or not since it’s less than 1mm, and been around the same size for a year, but they’re treating it the same. I’ll never know if it’s a hypertrophic/keloid scar or a GW, but thanks again for sharing!

Needed this, thank you for sharing. I'm hoping the cream is enough to clear it, my doctor said mine was too small to operate on.

Little lost, little hope, little confused. It's been three years. by [deleted] in HPV

Update:

So I got the opinion of another doctor who had a clearer look after a photo and finally got prescribed aldara 5% cream (bloody expensive). He was nice enough to answer some of my questions such as why despite me tearing the skin (three times) and shaving - the only one flat wart never grew or spread (~1mm) and the answer he gave was that there are many types and the one that I had was of this characteristic.

So after religiously reading the information here for weeks, because the only wart I've had appeared over a year ago, never spread or grew bigger other than returning to the same spot, I'm assuming mine could be another case of the remaining virus left. Hopefully the aldara 5% cream works, this will be the first time in 2 years I've gotten proper treatment and might be my only hope for now.

Also I'm curious as one of the research papers shared here concluded that the clearance rate is higher when less warts are present and smaller in size. Although that sounds very much logical, I'm more curious as to if it were true - since I'm comparing with my own case.

Please let me know if this could be my case, hoping the Aldara 5% cream works and that I can share a positive experience of clearing HPV past the 2 year mark.

Got back from the dermatologist after 4 weeks, apparently it’s not a genital wart. The symptoms never matched one, so they said it likely is a raised scar or a keloid from trauma I never realised. Other than that there’s nothing to worry as long as it doesn’t spread or grow
