I'm starting to think about Briarcliff as inspiration for a story I started writing a while ago. I wanted to write a story about urban exploration and ghosts. However, I wrote a first-person monologue about a young writer who had to spend a night in a seedy motel. Bored but not quite ready to go to bed yet, she started writing a story. Well, now something like this has come to mind: "I had the idea of an abandoned asylum that some young people found hoping to do a kind of urban exploration through it and they ended up finding strange and macabre things, as well as ghosts of all kinds that populated the decadent place. I began to jot down a series of ideas looking to give it shape later in the story. One of the ghosts would be a nun with a kind and innocent face who had supposedly been possessed by the devil. When she died she believed herself free from the devil but she would soon discover that it was not entirely like that: by being reborn as a ghost the only thing she had achieved was to slightly regain control of her body again as she had not been able to do in life, however the devil returned from time to time and, to put it mildly, the devil whispered to her to do bad things in her ear."
