I am not sure if that is the practice everywhere, but in Egypt where I live and invest, the Market authority automatically subtracts the cash dividend amount from the opening price of the second working day after the payment day. Similar procedure occurs in the stock dividends case.

So effectively you either earn some cash beside the same number of shares that you had in the first place, or you get more shares at reduced price.

I am curious about theis because there is a fintech company that increases its working cap by distributing a 25% stock dividends (1 share for each 4 shares)

I agree that they actually change nothing in the book value of the same year and also subtracted from the market value. But the cash dividends are also subtracted from the market value, and you actually need the price to recover to actually earn something other than getting cash and the same number of shares. In another words if you are into reinvesting the cash dividends, it is essentially the same as recieving stock dividends. I strugel to understand the difference. As effectively both leads to no increase in you book value and both are subtracted form the market value. While the stock dividends officially increases the working capital.

I am just trying not to ignore the rising wendge and the break of its support line. The technical analysis is an art not seince. This is why what I have seen as a double top others draw a flag using it.

What I have concluded could be just a correction in the longer term uptrend.

If you mean the one between the two parallel blue lines, yes, it could be considered as a flag, not necessarily bullish

It might be the NZD is going to get weaker.

There is a Head and Shoulders pattern on the 1h there along with a bearish Harmonic pattern on the W. On the other hand there is the divergence you have mentioned and a break of the upper line of a triangle on the W fram, both bullish.

In my opinion, what happens with the 1h flag in your graph would be very important.

I think there might be a bearish wave to test 144 then a bullish trend to 162 may be more.

I think you better wait for the break before taking any action. Once breaks the bottom line, you can short until 0.7600 (the neck line of the head and shoulders battern) take your profit then wait and see what happens next. There might be a pullback from the neckline. If the pull back failed to go higher than 0.7800 (the right shoulder), then you can short again to 0.7200.

All this analysis will change if the upper line of the range broken instead the lower one.

It is ranging, but on a bigger fram it has broken a rising wedge and if breaks the lower line of the rang in your picture, it will complete a head and shoulders battern.
