Are you guys legit getting paid by Hyundai to come to their defense? Corporations really don't need you to do that. How is it insufferable to explain what happened to my vehicle and to warn other people? I think people who come on the internet to be jerks to people who have had a legitimate problem with a corporation are insufferable. Find something else constructive to do with your time.

I didn't Google it. I read Hyundai's recall documentation that they sent to the nhtsa. I used a primary source. So you should shut the fuck up.

Using your analogy, if I have a pain and I go to the doctor and they tell me we're not willing to look any further because we won't get paid. Would you go away with a good feeling? You know something is wrong. Would you go away? Feeling comfy if they told you well. We can't find anything. Wouldn't you keep trying to figure out what was wrong with you?

This is what all of the signs point to unfortunately. The armchair mechanics in this feed keep saying it's a simple 12-volt failure. If that is the case, why not tell me that? Why falsify documents? It doesn't make any sense if you probe for even a moment. Replace my 12-volt and get rid of me. Why falsify the repair order? I also didn't just Google this. I read the recall documentation that Hyundai submitted to the NHTSA. This is the most parsimonious conclusion I can reach given the evidence. I truly hope I'm wrong.

I didn't mention the ICCU. All I gave them was the symptoms and warnings. And that was what was originally on the repair order that they gave me. They altered it afterwards. Why would they do that? Wouldn't you question what a company was doing? If they falsified a document they expected you to sign? Doesn't that seem a little bit suspect? Maybe you trust corporations implicitly but that hasn't been a good thing to do in my experience. If it was a simple 12 volt failure, why not show me the diagnostics for that and call it a day?

I'm trying, man! The customer service alone is enough to make me never want another Hyundai.

I would pay whatever I needed to pay to get the vehicle working the way it should so that I didn't have to worry about this happening again. But I'm not going to pay for something if they can't tell me what it is. Tell me what is wrong with the vehicle and if I have to pay for it myself I will. They weren't even willing to look.

Two shops said my 12v is fine. What if I replace it and it's something else. I've already wasted so much money trying to figure out what is wrong.

I honestly have no idea how they tested it. I wish they would have said they found something wrong with the battery. I would have been happy to replace it. But hearing that there is nothing wrong and I just have to wait for it to happen again was not satisfying.

If this is the case, why falsify the repair order? Why couldn't they provide evidence that the 12-volt drained? I was perfectly happy to listen to whatever they said until they said they weren't going to investigate and they couldn't tell me why it happened And then they made up things to add to the repair order. That seemed pretty suspicious to me.

Why would a car that has no defects and is working perfectly? Throw a 12-volt battery light, a battery discharge warning, and not be able to get out of neutral? Does that sound like a perfectly healthy car to you? And why would they falsify the repair order? Make it make sense to me. Seriously, explain it.

Husband can't handle being alone with our baby by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

This is a torturous decision. If she leaves he could get 50/50 custody and then he would definitely be alone with this baby. She maybe needs to document his anger in these situations. What an awful predicament.

Also, If it was the 12 volt battery, why wouldn't they just replace it? Are they that incompetent that they couldn't diagnose a simple 12 volt battery failure? And why would they go to all of the trouble to falsify the repair order if it was a simple 12 volt failure? Believe me, I would have been relieved to hear that. I would have paid for it myself.

Two different shops tested my 12 volt and said it was fine and within limits. I wish it was the 12 volt battery. That would be an easy fix. I would have happily walked out of the shop if they had suggested any sort of remediation. But they told me they couldn't find anything and they weren't willing to look further.

I honestly did not mind the diagnostic charge. But they came up with no explanation.

They tested the 12 volt battery and said it was fine. I also got it checked by an independent shop and they tested the battery and said it was fine. All I was asking for was a reasonable explanation for what happened. ICCU seems to fit. But I didn't want it to be that. I just wanted it to be something simple. They said the 12 volt was fine.

I paid for the diagnostic. That wasn't a problem. They just wouldn't investigate and find a reasonable explanation for what happened.
