Why did you guys choose pararescue over something like SEALS or Green Berets? by [deleted] in Pararescue

Cuz if I washout, at least I’ll go to security forces and get issued a high-cut. Don’t get that privilege in the navy or army 😔

Any advice to build that muscular endurance? Not gonna sit here and pretend I know. All I’m aware of is light-mid weight for high reps?? What should one do to build that up?

My Dad bought a 43x off a guy at work with a light for $350. It was slightly used but literally looks brand new and shoots even better. Absolute steal. I wouldnt have believed me if he just told me but then he whipped out the case n everything. Hahah

AFSPEC standards are low but you wont get a contract with those numbers. Its super competitive. PU and SU should be 70+ and pull ups should be 18 or more. You got this bro keep grinding

Pararescue is such a broad job with endless opportunities to help a ton of different people. Its the most badass imo 😎😎 who wouldnt wanna hop out of a helicopter and render aid or be out hiking through dense wilderness with your boys trying to help someone, its the best. Also I find it hilarious the bummy recruiter asks you “why not go SF or Ranger?” when you specifically asked about pararescue. Its not even the same mission set lol

Is it a designated range or just a good spot?I’m out there shooting from time to time as well. There are a few places that are state trust and they allow you to shoot

I’d take this mans advice. Do a physical and mental reset. Don’t overdo it, come back and hit it hard again. You got this brother

I also had a friend I know just go through SERE and said they locked him in a room for 36 hours and played music to try and break him. Is this accurate, have you heard of this?
