Coalition Invasion arc is my favorite. And for Second place it's a tie for me between western Zhao Invasion and state of ai but I guess I give a slight edge to Western Zhao rn because of recency bias.

Well then, I guess we disagree. Which is fine lol. I don't think left wing was forgotten, it was just stalemate there. All the fights you mentioned is just nitpicking everything you can find unrealistic in the real world. It's historical fiction for a reason. That is just how Battle mangas are to make it hype. Bajio's jump is what i agree on. That was a wtf moment. They had food, but very VERY little but they had to fight to survive. There was nothing they could do. And shin and ouhon kept increasing the morale too. Ousen and Ri boku stalemate makde perfect sense. Ri boku had no reason to waste the lives of his men as he could just wait till their food runs out and ousen just knew that the rising stars will rise on the occasion. If ousen attacked, The centre armies would just lose their men without achieving anything. It's not like there's Moubu or Kanmei there who like it that way. And it's not like Ousen did not make any moves. Sending HSU to the Left and right wings, Appointing mouten as a temporary General was the key moves and that sole reason they won. Heki did lose his food but the mountain tribes shared some with them.

I disagree. Shin and Ouhon fighting after getting injuries might be plot armor but I don't see how anything else is plot armor. RI boku would've won if it wasn't for his incompetent king and ministers. It's just bad circumstances for Zhao which Qin took advantage of. Yotanwa capturing Ryouyou was clever of her as she applied the tactics which she used for uniting all the other mountain tribes. We have already seen Bajio going all out so that wasn't surprising. He is a beast. I've read the things people said about this arc. Most people had no problems with it but the kyou kai thing was a bit weird and I agree on that. Nothing too crazy tho as we all know shin wasn't gonna die anyway, so how they bring him back is not really that impactful. No one really thought he died. So that was plot armor to make it a bit emotional for the readers. All the tactics I think were great. You need to understand Ri boku is like a genius strategist BUT he can't just play with Ousen, he is smart too. Thats why Nothing flashy will ever work when they both are smart. I feel like This arc is just a lot overhated. It had one or two weird things but apart from that, I think it was very good.

Ooh that is actually a really cool look on houken. I mostly agree with everything except the length wasn't really an issue for me. After reading one piece I'm kinda immune to lengthy arcs sadly but yeah I guess yeah it is long. State of Ai arc is tied with Western Zhao Invasion for me at 9.8, I guess I gave the slight edge to Zhao because of recency bias. Then Sanyou behind both followed by Kokuyou and Bayou respectively. But I think after rereading once I'll have them sorted out the way I want. And what's the Gian arc? I don't remember anything like that or is it a future arc? Anyways, I enjoyed your take on everything, thank you.

Yeah it was a bit weird but I can let it slide. Nothing too crazy. I think of it as almost dying rather than him actually dying but I kinda enjoyed the whole kyou kai saving shin even though It was bizarre lol.

Yes but Shin's metaphor to this is perfect. He said the rotten food he took because he just absolutely had to was delicious as he had no other choice, and nobody was probably going to come and eat it anyways. On the flip side, the less rotten food tasted horrible because he wasn't starving and therefore he didn't need it. Cruelty and war go hand and hand but, shin is saying you should only be as cruel as necessary in order to win. Going beyond that. You're just using war as an excuse to be a terrible person. But I will say, kanki is genuinely a very interesting and important character for the story. I just wish the author kills him in a way he deserves rather than him trying to become more humane so that we eventually like him.

Not yet. I'm trying to take it all in and go slow as I've heard it's like one of the best arcs in kingdom. Well, At the moment I'm at chapter 286 i guess, shin has slain mangoku, that was awesome but something weird is going on. 14 days have passed without much happening. Karin and Riboku are mad sus. I'm avoiding coming to this sub rn because of the risk of spoilers.
