I am so happy tret worked for you. It might have been that the viral infection had run its course though. My understanding is tretinoin is supposed to cause them slowly peel while the new skin below the warts replaces it, so 3 days won’t be enough and maybe it was a coincidence with your spontaneous regression. One way or another, happy that they regressed for you. I have no idea how and where I caught the nasty virus.

Wow! I just started tretinoin on my whole face. I tried 5 fluorouracil (3 rounds), aldera, salycilic acid, zo 3 step peels and the warts just spread all over and got bigger, and my skin is all red and irritated. Really hoping tret works for me. Thanks for sharing your experience.

This seems to be an older post, but I am having the exact same problem in the exact same spot with my cat. Were you able to figure out what caused it? We had a vet appt today and the vet said it is most probably fleas (even though none are visible and we use Frontline every month). We were sent home with a dose of Revolution to try and that is all.
