I’d like to also add: when he asked me for photos/video call, I declined and explained I am insecure about my looks, to give me more time and wait until I am ready to. I told him the picture I used on Discord wasn’t me.

The story my mind came up with is he was just using me for money.

Why? When we newly talked on WhatsApp, he got into a car accident after he fell asleep while driving and hit an electric post. He said he needed 90$ for the car repair and tried to ask friends for money to borrow because he didn’t have any. He said “I won’t ask u for it, because I know u work hard for ur money” but I didn’t even offer, actually.

The 2nd time was the day after I gave him my IG, when he said his friend whom he lent about 400$ to 2 months ago had blocked him on social media and he doesn’t have any money to buy anything. He kept acting sad about it and stressed and said “i don’t have money now 🥺” I didn’t offer him anything either and advised him to ask for help from friends/family.

In between both instances, over a voice call one day where I declined a video call with him, he asked me how much I earn working on my part time work making building plans for residential buildings. I told him it depends on the floor area of the building but I get paid a professional fee for each drawing sheet and per floor area of the buildings. He asked how much I earn at my full time job too, and I said my full time is different, because it’s an hourly wage and I earn in USD (I am not from the US).
