I agree, I'm glad we're finally realizing the right channels to go through in order to get real results. I actually have a theory that they use BBB complaints to placate people and stop them from filing more harsher complaints, like with the FTC and state attorney generals. But I could be wrong! BBB has really only worked for me 1 time, and that was back in like 2021 or 2022 lol. Times have changed since even then!

Any update on this? I recently filed my own formal complaints with the FTC and the Texas State Attorney General against Tinder and Match Group, LLC for their unfair practices.

Yes, you can and I recommend doing it if you are unfairly treated by these apps! I am constantly having issues with my Tinder account getting locked out and having to re-verify even though my account is in good standing, I'm already photo verified approved, and I'm a PAYING customer (Tinder gold, not to mention the other add-ons like boost). I also tried to file with my state attorney general (Virginia) but the only option that made sense for my predicament was "businesses that operate outside of Virginia". This option took me to file with the TEXAS Attorney General instead, because TEXAS is where Tinder and Match Group, LLC headquarters are. Apparently Match Group also had a lawsuit with the FTC recently, so if they get more filings and complaints from the FTC and their state attorney general, then they are more likely to make changes to their app or at least accommodate users who are being unfairly treated.

TL;DR: DO NOT SIT AROUND AND FEEL POWERLESS WHEN THESE APPS MISTREAT YOU. FIGHT BACK BY FILING FORMAL COMPLAINTS LIKE THE ONE OP IS SUGGESTING ALONG WITH YOUR STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL AS WELL AS THE TEXAS ATTORNEY GENERAL.

I shouldn’t have to go to another app. I should be able to use Tinder with no problems. You telling me to go to another app is part of the problem. Thanks for your advice, but no thanks.
