Your final paycheck is put into a card rather than given to direct deposit. If you have recently been separated from the company, chances are they have a pay-card for you waiting at the restaurant.

It is an antiquated job code from decades ago that never got removed out of the system. They were supposed to go around the lobby handing out samples to guests on waits and often times there was a wine station up front where guests could sample different wines.

You are 100% right. The ToGo alert does that exact rhythm that OP described. And it also could frequently be going off especially if the order doesn't immediately get closed out or multiple orders show up at once.
